Newsflash for Dutch Runrig fans

We are in the process of arranging a Runrig fan meeting in the Netherlands
for Dutch (speaking) fans. Last Sunday (26 April 2009) a couple of Runrig
fans have had a first meeting and as you can imagine it will take some
preparation to achieve a fan day.
Mail address
First of all we have decided to open an email address where all Dutch fans
can subscribe to our mailing list. In that way we will be able to figure out
how many Runrig fans live in the Netherlands. Subscribers to our email
address will receive a short questionnaire in which we will ask whether you
are interested in a fan day (or not). Our email address is:

Meeting point
Secondly we would like to have a meeting point where we can chat about
Runrig, music, and Scotland in our own language. The Dutch Scotland forum
has made this possible by making a sub-board for the Runrig fans. Please
look at www.schotlandforum.nl choose: "Schotse muziek en bands", where you
will find the sub-board "Runrig" or go directly to the sub-board by surfing
to: http://www.schotlandforum.nl/index.php?board=55.0 . We don't have the
intention to open a website or to found a fan club. We already have both in
Scotland!
Fan day
Last but not least: Our aim is to organise a fan day at the end of October
or early November 2009. Before we can make any arrangements we have to gain
an insight into how many fans would like to visit a fan day in the
Netherlands. As soon as we have more information about this matter we will
come back to you.
In the meantime I would like to ask all Forum members to inform their Dutch
friends about our intentions.
