"Of the many stars who flamed into life during the latter half of the 1950's, Sam Phillip's tiny Sun Records was the launching pad and creative center for some of the brightest, but dig a little deeper into the archive of the studio's recordings and there is a lot of hidden treasure to be found. This article provides a brief introduction to three incendiary artists who, for one reason or another, never quite found the fame of their legendary contemporaries."
