From the local paper:

"Haverhill's Rob Zombie "talks turkey" on PETA's holiday hotline,
warning callers to beware of the cruelty to the turkeys slaughtered for
Thanksgiving dinners. Zombie is reportedly a vegetarian since high
school when he saw a documentary about slaughterhouses. To hear him,
call 1-888-VEG-FOOD."

Love ya, Rob. Dreamin' of ya, Sher. In a bad way!

Of course they're totally right. I know better, and do it anyway. I
figure that until we pay reparations and give back the fucking land,
I'll go ahead and eat meat. We are drenched in the blood of sin and
hypocrisy and when they bomb my village, I'll at least know why.

Yesterday was also the Thanksgiving high school football game. Held at
Haverhill Stadium, the home team won it 28 - 7. That was quite deal
because Haverhill went into the game 0 - 10. 0 - 17 if you go back to
last season. And Lowell sucked it big time, too, this season. They
were like 2 - 8 going into this game.

Jack Kerouay played in a Thanksgiving day football game for Lowell once,
but I think it was against Lawrence. Either 1939 or 1940. He claims he
scored the winning and only points with a touchdown and Lowell won it 6
- 0. I don't know, but I'd like to look it up. Not to see if Jack was
lying because it wouldn't matter one way or the other. Jack wrote
fiction. Proving that something he wrote about either did or didn't
"really" happen is to miss the point. Did Burroughs happen? Did
Ginsberg happen? Jack happened.

So, here's to Jack. Happy Thanksgiving you drunken frog bastid. 69 was
a good year to die.
