ROCK STAR HAIR CHART
This was one of the first features Metal Sludge put up, back on September 1st,
1999. It hasn't changed must since then, so we thought it was time to update
it and give it a new look.
Most of the rock stars listed below are not bald by choice, even though they
want you to think they shaved their heads to be trendy or for some generic
movie part. The reality is they're fucking going bald! Some of the stars are
also wearing fully functional hair pieces (a.k.a. a fucking wig) but continue
to have hallucinations that they still look good and are fooling the fans.
Below is a list of names that is 99.9% accurate. Also, we've include some
abbreviations to explain what's going on with the scalp!
B. = Means they are bald as a cue ball.
E. = Hair Extensions.
H. = Means they wear a Head Band or Hat and are trying to hide it.
P. = Use Propeica.
T. = Hair Transplants.
W. = Wig.
More than one symbol means they have a combo thing going on!
NOTE: Some of these people might not be currently wearing wigs, but they have
been known to wear wigs in the past.
MICHAEL ANGELO / NITRO = W. H.
He might have fast fingers, but he loses hair just as fast.
RICHIE BLACKMORE / DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW = W.
Proud rug wearer for over 20 years.
MARK BOALS / EX YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, EX TED NUGENT = W.
Once wore a Louis XIV type wig.
BILLY CORGAN / SMASHING PUMPKINS = B.
Shaved his head to look trendy when really his hair was leaving on it's own.
DIZZY DEAN DAVIDSON / BRITNY FOX = E. H.
Only moderate damage.
DON DOKKEN / DOKKEN = H. W.
Don's got a nice assortment of realistic wigs.
KEVIN DUBROW / QUIET RIOT = W.
Most famous and well know wig wearer in rock! He was 80% bald in 1983, but now
has more hair than 3 people combined. Very fake wig, and some reports say the
wig is alive, but we can't confirm that at this time.
TRACII GUNS / L.A. GUNS = E. W.
He has been know to wear extensions in the past, as well as a wig. Currently
sporting his real hair, but you can never be too sure!!
ROB HALFORD / TWO, EX JUDAS PRIEST = B.
Another one who shaved his head to mask the fact that he was going bald.
SCOTT IAN / ANTHRAX = B.

ELTON JOHN = W.
Last time Elton had hair was in 1968. Once wore a wig inspired by Nikki Sixx,
but at least he admits he wears wigs.
KERRY KING / SLAYER = B.

JANI LANE / WARRANT = E. T. W.
Wore a wig in the "Heaven" video, and also wore a wig for a few months he
called his "hat."

Awesome Elvira wig, perfect for any Halloween.
BRET MICHALES / POISON = E. T. H.
Use to have extensions, and also has had some shit worked on. Wears many
bandannas and hats to hide the fact
GERRI MILLER / FORMER METAL EDGE EDITOR = B.
Well, maybe not totally bald, but she/he does have a bald spot you can see from
the moon.
VINNIE PAUL / PANTERA = H.
It's obvious his brother Darrell got all the hair in that family.
STEVIE RACHELLE / TUFF = H. T.
Like Bret, Stevie's had shit worked on. Must be the bandanna, blond singer
syndrome.
KANE ROBERTS / ALICE COOPER BAND = E. T. W.
Steroids took all his hair.
AXL ROSE / GUNS 'N' ROSES = H. T.
Rumor has it he's thinning fast.
DAVID LEE ROTH = E.T.
Dave's had quite a battle with the follicles.
JACK RUSSELL / GREAT WHITE = E. H. W.
Jack's had quite the battle with follicles as well.
ANDY SECHER / HIT PARADER EDITOR = B.
Another balding editor, but at least he's a man!
GENE SIMMONS / KISS = E. T.
He's not as bummed as Paul but has had some serious work done.

MICHAEL KELLY SMITH / BRITNY FOX = W.
His shit was way out of line.
PAUL STANLEY / KISS = W.
Total wig since the early 80's, at least!! Cut his hair off for Phantom Of The
Opera, but whenever he plays in Kiss he has his long hair back because he just
puts on his old wigs.
STEVE SUMMERS / PRETTY BOY FLOYD = H. W.
The worst wig & hat combo for 10 years now.
JOE LYNN TURNER / EX RAINBOW, EX YNGWIE MALMSTEEN = W.
A good looking wig that most think is the real deal, but it's about as real as
Carmen Electra's tits.
CHRIS VAN DAHL / EX L.A. GUNS SINGER = W.
Bad wig, worse voice.
VINNIE VINCENT / EX KISS = W.
Like the other members of Kiss, Vinnie has been known to wear or wig or
twenty.
BUTCH WALKER / MARVELOUS 3 = P.
Butch, like Slug, reportedly uses Propecia to keep his hair in line.
