The Story on Christoph Zimmerman

Hello,

I finally have some concrete info about the death of Christoph
Zimmerman, who was reported as being a touring bassist for Rammstein.
Since there seems to be lots of people who are worried or unsure about
it, I figured I'd pass along what I know. Here are the sequence of
events and the facts:

1. On Nov. 9, and plane crashed killing a person by the name of
Christoph Zimmerman and a Mexican newspaper reported that he was a
touring bassist for Rammstein.

2. This news spread and other music sites also reported this information
prompting people to believe that one of the members of Rammstein had
died.

3. Obviously, this is false. Christoph Zimmerman is a bass player for a
band named "Blind Passengers" and apparently the manager of a band named
"Tanzwut".

4. So where is the connection to Rammstein? Well, he was a member of a
band named "Feeling B", which was Paul and Flake's old band before
joining Rammstein. I assume they were still friends, but Zimmerman has
no other role in Rammstein.

This info came from a few sources, including the official "Tanzwut" and
Rammstein sites. Rammstein just posted a statement in German on their
page, and an English one should follow soon. There's no word on why
this misinformation was reported, but once it was reported initially
that is the info that spread. Unfortunately, the info was inaccurate.
So he did have a connection to Rammstein, but somehow the wrong
information was reported after the unfortunate plane crash.

So that is the real story on this unfortunate incident. Hope that
clears thing up.

Oh my god thank you so much for this info. I was freaking out after reading
all these "A Rammstein member is dead" posts. *big relief*

You guys should check out Tanzwut, they're not half bad actually. More techno-y
than Rammstein though.
