Hi Lars
Yes, aren't we all?! I missed them in 2005 tour when they performed at the
arena near me. I have never forgiven myself for not going.

Perhaps Rammstein fans are not interested in discussions? I don't really
know. I've been subscribed to this newsgroup for six months and yours is
the first legitimate post.

JD..
I saw them in Berlin - Das war total geil - as they say in german, soo I´m
still waiting.
Lisa are you from Germany?

Hi Lars
No, I am not from Germany, I am from England. And I am very envious of you
for seeing them in Berlin!! :-)

Hehe! Nope.

Sometimes quiet newsgroups just need reviving ... lead by example and others
will join in the discussion. I've seen it done before, successfully.
So, to carry on with on on-topic conversation ... who's got their nails
bitten to the quick waiting for their next CD being released? I know I
have!

Do you have any of their DVDs? I notice a new one has been released in
three different editons. Volkerball? I live in west Texas so all of my
Rammstein DVDs were mail order. From the look of the DVDs, they do a
pretty good live show.
I see from one of your other replies that you're from England? Do you
speak German and if you don't do you have the translations of their
lyrics? There's a couple of web pages that have that. Give you something
to do instead of your nails. <g>

Do you speak German? I got some questions about the single Amerika. The
original and English version of the song appear to have very different
lyrics?

JD..
Many of Rammstein's songs that have English versions are quite different
from the German versions. Personally, I prefer the German versions ... they
just don't work well in English, in my opinion.

I have Live aus Berlin and Volkerball Special Edition. I was too late when
I went to buy the Limited Edition ... sold out! I love them, but I can only
watch them when my husband is out of the house! Yes, I've heard they do a
cracking show. A friend of mine worked on the set at the Newcastle Metro
Radio Arena where they played in 2005. He's a rigger and said he'd never
seen a pyrotechnic kit anything like it!

I'm currently learning German. I only opted to learn French at school, but
have always wished I'd chosen to do German as well. My Dad speaks German as
he did his apprenticeship in Stuttgart many many years ago, so he's helping
me as well. I do enjoy trying to translate the lyrics! :-)

I'll start another thread so we can talk about the Amerika, the single.
Have you ever been to this page:

Indeed I have, but I try not to look too hard when I'm attempting to
translate myself. LOL
