Ok. I love Rammstein. They are jsut cool. Yet jsut like any band, there are
some songs you jsut cannot stand! Unofrtunatly, there are quite a bit of
Rammstein songs I jsut don't like.

**Speil Mit Mir

This is by far the worst Rammstein song ever! I consider it so annoying, and
never listen to it. I feel terrible since Live Aus Berlin video opens with it,
and I forsee my self fast forwarding through that bit of tape when i do get
it.

**Kuss Mich

This song is more or less up there. Perosnally I get annoyed by the cartooney
slapping that repeats itself thorugh out the song. Also very annoying. Without
it, the song would easily be on my good list.

**Das Alte Lied

This song is just terrible. I always skip it when lsitening to Herzeleid and
go strait to Hierte Mich. I don't liek the children crying in the background
too for some odd reason.

OK. ow here are some "neh" songs. They aint the greatest, but they aint
nothing to go home and tell your mom about.

**Kokain.

I like the song, but I am offended in the beginning with the snorting of
Cocain.

**Klavier

Sometimes you are in a Klavier mood. Sometimes you aint.

**Altar Mann

Don't get me wrong. It jsut depends were you listne to Altar Mann. On Das
Modell, the new version of Altar Mann sounds terrific! But on Sehnschult, I
sometimes skip it and go strait to Eifershult.

**Der Miester

Good song, but the car crashes get annoying sometimes.

**Rammstein

Pretty good song. Sometimes when I am in the mood ofr fast--paced Rammstien, I
might not listen to it.

Ok Here are my FAVORITE Rammstein songs, in no order.

**Wessis Fleish

Great song! Love it! Great to see in concert with the ligths flashing.

**Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen

Also a very awsome song, a great way to start up Herzeleid. Very Powerful.

**Eifershult

This was bascially the only song i evr listened to on Sehnschult. (Besides
Sehnschult)

Sehsnchult, Hierte Mich, Engel, and Du Riest su gut are also VERY GOOD.

** <<NOTES>>**

**Du Hast

Whjat is the deal with this song. People tell me they go out and buy Sehnchult
jsut to ehar it. Uh, Du Hast sucks?!?! Well it aint bad, but its not something
to lsitne to over and over and over (that's Hierte Mich's job). NMo offense,
but I really HATE people who say they are Rammstein fans, yet only kbow the
song Du Hast. I Find it TOTALLY offense and want to smaoke the clot around.
There are so many greater songs than Du Hast.

**Das Modell

Well, give or take, it pretty good. I like it alot better than Kraftwerk's
original, and I really do like Kraftwerk. I think the openeing to Das Modell
is hilarious. The game on the CD was hella easy.

I have NEVER heard Fuerrader or Wielder Wein. I feel bad that I cannot comment
on them. WEll I shot my mouth off for a while, let's see how bad I get yelled
at for my song comment? teehee.

Actually, Du Hast is one of Rammstein's best songs, it is just that
sometimes, Rammstein fans say it sucks or is "ok", just because it is the
most mainstream (think reverse psychology here.)

Yes, of course, Rammstein has many other great songs (I like Eifersucht too,
especially the evil rhythmic laughter in the chorus right before
'Eifersucht' is said.) But if it wasn't for Du Hast, I, as well as
countless others, would have passed Rammstein off as another foreign joke.

Worst songs:
Anything slow that doesn't make me jump up and run around the house, like
some of the songs on Herzeleid. Sehnsucht seems more energetic.

Best songs:
Wolt das bed flammen.... argh, you know, that "burn the bed" song
Du Hast, Eifersucht, as mentioned before
Sehnsucht, Du Riech So Gut

And one more thing, I think it's kinda strange that in some songs, they
repeat the word "Rammstein" over and over again. Like the song Rammstein
and... that song near the end of Live Aus Berlin (not the 2cd) I apologize
for my messy recall of the titles of the songs, hey, I'm a North American
anglophone...

ok. you've heard the rest. now hear the BEST! j/k. Here are my views on every
rammstein song (excluding the instrument of rammstein and the countless remixes
of it too). Well, here goes!

Herzeleid:

Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flamen Sehen is an ok song. There are times that i am in
the mood to hear it and there are times that i skip it immediately. Der Meister
is not one of Rammstein's better songs. The only good part is the technoish
part for about the last 50 seconds or so of the song. Weisses Fleisch is a song
that i don't like much either. However, the new version on the live CD has an
awesome part during Flake's dance. Asche Zu Asche used to be a song that i
hated, but i've grown to like it. The guitar part that is used at the beginning
and repeated throughout is pretty cool. Seemann is fucking awesome anyway you
put it and is definitely in my top 10 favorite rammstein songs. Du Riechst So
Gut is even better than Seemann! I think this is the only song that all
rammstein fans agree is fantastic. I'm all by myself on this one, but i think
Das Alte Leid is an awesome song. I really like the guitar in it and how it
keeps changing pace. Heirate Mich is well heirate mich. An awesome song.
Herzeleid is tolerable but not by too much. the keyboard in the middle is
pretty cool. Laichzeit is fuckin awesome. The keyboard is awesome and the way
rammstein ended it on Live Aus Berlin was great. Rammstein is definitely the
best song on Herzeleid. So many people don't like the song but if any of em
played guitar, they'd realize that it's fuckin awesome (to listen to as well as
to play). Anyways, onto the next cd...

Sehnsucht

Sehnsucht is an ok song, but live it's that much better. The arabic sounds in
it are pretty cool and they haven't got boring to me yet. Engel used to be my
favorite song ever by Rammstein. I heard it before Sehnsucht was released in
the us, the day that the MK 2 soundtrack was released. Great song though. Tier
is my favorite album song, but when i heard it live back in june, it was good,
but not great. Bestrafe mich is better on the live album than on the normal CD.
that's all i have to say for that song. Du Hast, while not a bad song, just
pisses me off because it's the rammstein stereotype song. Buck Dich is an ok
song simply because while i can tolerate outright metal, I'm not a big fan of
it. But it's better on the live album and if it weren't for the dildo, i'd say
is pretty cool. It's one of rammstein's few metal songs. Spiel Mit Mir... what
a great song. Awesome on the CD and since they were fed up with it, rammstein
changed the lyrics arrangement and now it's even cooler. Klavier is a fucking
great song but i'm a little disappointed when they play it live. oh well. it's
still good. Alter Mann is a song that they need to play live more often. It's
soo fuckign great and the added techno part at the end beats out most of
rammstein's songs any day. Now, most people will hate me for this, but i
fucking hate Eifersucht. I think it's a shitty song and the once in a blue moon
that i do listen to it, it's just to see if i've changed my mind. Every time it
just adds fuel to the fire. Kuss Mich isn't that bad, but it's a lil too
cartoony for me. Du hast and Engel (english versions), LOL no comment. Onto the
singles...

Seemann

nothing different except the techno song, Rammstein in the house. not bad, but
not too good.

Engel Fan Edition

Engel extended version (by about 10 seconds) is better than the orginal.
Feurradder is a great fuckign awesome song. This is probably Rammstein's
hardest song to play on guitar even though it doesn't have too many different
parts. The solo is fuckin cool. Wilder Wein, without a doubt Rammstein's most
chill song. A lot of peopel i know who are sometimes not in the mood to listen
to Rammstein (like when we're fukked up) (I myself am always ready to whip out
a rammstein CD) say that this is a chill song and it's awesome. Well, moving
on...

Du Hast
the two remixes are both pretty good. The longer one ( i think the one by stagg
and helner) is cool. Clawfinger actually isn't that bad though (I've heard two
of their albums).

Das Modell
What a horrible song! J/k. Probably Rammstein's 4th best song in my opinion,
behind Tier, Rammstein, and Stripped. Das modell is fucking great. The guitar
is kind of cool and reminds me of Der Meister. and every person that i know
that thinks Rammstein sucks that I've gotten a chance to play Das Modell for
thought that it's pretty good. Kokain is ehh... the part at the beginning where
we are to think that someone is snorting coke sounds pretty cool.

Du Riechst So Gut 98

Let's see. The best versions of DRSG are #4 by Sascha Konietzko of KMFDM, and
#8 by Gunter Schulz of KMFDM. #7 by Rammstein's producers is pretty good too,
and if you play it madd loud in a dark room, it's kind of scary!

Stripped

Wow! what an incredible song. And to top it off, it's in English! Like i said,
this song is probably #3 on Rammstein's list of greatest songs, but maybe even
#2. It's such a great friggin song. #3 on the CD (the first one done by Charlie
Clouser of NIN) is pretty good too. Not as good as Rammstein's though. Also, #4
(done again by Charlie Clouser) is a stupid piece of shit waste of CD space.
LOL. That's it Rammstein fans! - Afsheen

P.S. I didn't rate Rammstein's version of Korn's Good God b/c it's only a remix
meaning they only did the sounds, not the words. And i havent' heard
Rammstein's latest remix of "Spookshow Baby" originally by Rob Zombie because
it hasn't and will not be released until later this month when Zombie releases
his remix album of his CD.

Ok time for me to put my 2 cents in.

If i had to pick one song that i liked best...Bett in Flammen would be on
the top of my list. Its like an anthem for the band...and i like stuff like
that. Really the only song that annoys me is Das Alte Leid. Alot of songs
on Herzeleid that I didint like much before I do now. Like Weisses Fleisch
is my favorite on the Live cd. Spiel Mit Mir isint that bad. Its a good way
to start the show. I was glad they started with that song on Live Aus
Berlin. The album kinda starts at a slow pace and climbs up .

For slow songs i would have to say that Wilder Wein is the only one that i
like.

One thing that i must say about Live Aus Berlin.....good CD.....but too much
of the auidence singing the chorus....i wanna hear the band sing the chorus.
The auidence kind of weakens it....like in Du riechst.....the crowd
practically sang the entire chorus.

"Spiel mit mir" is about incestual sex (between brothers). Hard to bring
that topic into a musical scheme that is appealing.

Based on racial killings. The slow pace makes it the more effective as the
intended accusation against the perpetrators of racial hatre crimes.

I can understand that some of the music does not appeal due to their
distinctive link to the lyrics and the intense messages they contain.

Overall however, Rammstein produced interesting music with finesse in their
arrangements and great, sometimes even poetic lyrics.

Although it is a matter of taste, I hope many of you enjoy Ramstein.

The song, "Rammstein" is not based on racial killings as you so believe.
It is a musical interpretation of the tragedy that happened at Ramstein
Airforce Base in which a mishap of a crashing plane killed quite a few poeple
and injured several others...it's where Rammstein earned their name, though
they added an "m."
Seeing as how they have to fight as it is to debunk any rumours that they
are Nazi or some other form of racist/fascist group, I don't think they'd
really want to touch anything on the subject of race and/or violence thereof.
Tschüß.

I personally enjoy hearing the crowd chanting along.
When I go to concerts, I looove it when the whole crowd knows the words
to a song I know the words to, and we're all singing/screaming together
... but that did NOT happen two times I got to see Ramms+ein. At Family
Values (I saw it in Indianapolis last year, in case any of you all might
have been there), it seemed like only me and the guy I went with were
singing along. We got a couple of strange looks, but oh well.

At the other show, outside Chicago on their tour with Soulfly, there
were a lot more, but certainly not enough to hear during the songs.

I'm pretty sure the band absolutely loves it when they see that people
cherish their songs enough to memorize the lyrics.

My favorite Ramms+ein songs (in no particular order):
Heirate Mich
Rammstein
Asche Zu Asche
Engel
Stripped (Tribute To Dusseldorf Mix)
Du Riechst So Gut (original, and the '98 remixes by Moser,
Konietzko/Skold and Schulz)
Das Model
Kokain
Klavier

Yes that's a lot of songs, but I have mad love for Ramms+ein ...

Oh and by the way, even though I don't particularly like Spiel Mit Mir,
I thought it was a badass way to open, when I saw them in Villa Park,
Illinois on their last tour of the US. Hopefully they'll come to closer
to me than 400 miles away, next time : (

FROM THE MTV INTERVIEW: http://www.myxin.de/myxin/e/index.html

KURT LODER: Could you explain the group philosophy, as well as what
"Rammstein" means?

TILL LINDEMANN, Lead Vocals: The name came from the big catastrophe that
happened in Ramstein, which is a place in Germany, where the American
airforce had a flight show. They crashed and over 80 people got hurt and
killed. So the first song, actually, was about that accident. And then there
was always like a cause when they'd say: "Ramstein, Ramstein!" So it came
into our head and it stayed there. We just changed the spelling slightly
because Ramstein is actually spelt with one "m". It also became somewhat of
a provocation, by just repeating it, it kind of became like a symbol for us,
an anthem.

The band added the extra "m" to give make the name a little different, to give
it a different edge.

I stand corrected. I must have misunderstood some of the interpretations.
Thanks for the info. In that respect, I have also read the responses of

Maybe someone out there knows what it is all about then? I would be

hey, my apologies for this but some of u need to know how to spell song names.
Spiel Mit Mir and Kuss mich rnt bad, i actually like the "geil lyrics." and im
thinking they say Rammstein over and over is because of the thing they were
named after, that plane crash in Ramstein. kind of a tribute maybe? Eifersucht
is one of my personal favs, up there with Buck Dich. Du Hast isnt bad or
anything, if it wasnt for that i would've never known who rammstein was! it
never gets annoying either, really. and then there's das alte leid, which i've
heard complaints about the child who's crying. well i think its kind of kewl,
since most of my written stuff or pictures revolve around a threatened child
theme. <dont think im nuts> klavier is a slower song that i sometimes skip
thru, not really in the mood for it. asche zu asche is great, i luv the lyrics
to that. Heirate Mich is awesome with the ceremonial prayer type thing at the
beginning. well this is all too damn much to type,so ill end it here.
