upon returning from a surreal three day roadtrip punctuated by the spontaneous
combustion of a car tire that sidelined my girls and i for five hours tonight,
i was amazed and overjoyed to find signs of much synaptic activity on the ng

the threads about feminism/thereductionofwomen/thedeftonesvideo were all
exhilarating to breeze thru, i hope to contribute intelligently to them this
weekend - after i start my new job (!) and check out the deftones tomorrow
night

right now i am extremely sleep deprived but i would like to offer up a few
delirious thoughts before i retire to my bed:

1. being with a group of people who have 2 cars between them, and having one of
those cars ticketed in an alley twice under the span of two hours while the
other gets locked in a parking garage when it closes at midnight and you're all
sitting in dennys a block away sucks

2. street people who sell poetry (and sing it to you if you like) rule

3. celeste schroeder is unbelievably for real and i can no longer in good
conscience endorse her husband's induction into the harem. instead, i propose a
suitable compromise - that chino moreno be appointed resident lounge singer on
the premises and take requests every third wednesday of the month in the main
tent from 10pm-midnight EST

4. tow truck drivers who make disgusting suggestive comments deserve a swift
kick to the groin, not a $5 tip

5. i love boys

godspeed, my friends. xo

no matter how hip the groove, how cool the pose.
no matter how the grin spins. i ain't happy; i ain't pleased.
speaking for one among millions, probably. -sekou sundiata

no, actually he was extremely offensive. and if he was trying to impress us, he
failed miserably. there aren't many things i consider a bigger turn off than
being treated like a piece of fucking meat just because i have a nice chest.

see, this is why i thought making chino a lounge singer would be cool. he'd
still be around - and presumably an option - indefinitely. however, the chance
of me getting the mental image his wife & kids out of my head anytime soon is
almost nil

speaking of that, i can't believe the deftones hauled a winnebago (!) filled
with their wives and/or kids around with them on tour this summer. a bizarre
vacation, that.

and i would just like to announce that for the first time *ever* tonight at the
palladium in lala, 'knifeprty' did NOT sound weak & sorry in concert as chino
was accompanied onstage by the guest vocalist who does the eerie chilling wails
on the album version. i'm too lazy to look up her name now but she was wearing
red vinyl pants and looked like a female member of orgy. and it ruled, mufuckas
>:)

<serena altshul mode> in other news, deftones vocalist chino moreno lost most
of the buttons on his shirt tonight to members of the audience in los angeles.
the sacramento quintet, whose latest record 'whitepony' is expected to be
certified gold within two weeks, played a ferocious set to a packed house which
included such laughable celebrity guests as axl rose. current deftones rumors
include a remix album in the works, allegedly called 'blackstallion' and set to
feature pony tracks remixed by djshadow and theautomator. </serena altschul

your timing was off, kid. on another night it probably wouldn't have bothered
me as much. but over the past three days i've encountered far too many
catcalls/ whistles/lewdstares&gestures and just general uncalled for behavior
(and i've been feeling extremely aggro and sick as a result) that the littlest
things are pissing me off.

fuck fuck fuck

yeah.

serious? i heard it on the webcast a few months back and the whole middle
section was lacking. i mean, chino's moans are great and all, but i think the
chick screeching makes the track, or at least those thirty seconds. ;)

>why the hell didnt you, anyway?

four girls + one tow truck driver + the middle of the i5 freeway + nighttime -
substantial sleep - much smartass reaction time = me standing there like a
dumbfuck
