Hello all!

I'm trying to find a copy of the 1992 Freddie Mercury Tribute concert that
was held at Wembley stadium in London. CD, video, audio, whatever. Thus
far, have only found a few snippets. Would like to own the whole bit.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated.

I don't know if there's a "whole" concert available in any format. As
far as video is concerned, what I taped off MTV the night of the concert
is a little different than what they (MTV) showed a couple days later,
which is different than the official concert video. (For example, I have
'39 on one tape but not the other two, I think.)

I've got an hour-long CD that I bought at my local Tower records, of all
places. It's a German import; I think the label is "One World Records."
You may be able to find it -- and the official video -- with a little
surfing; a good place to start is http://www.cdeurope.com , which is a
site that specializes in imports.

The CD's playlist is:

*More Than Words (Extreme)
*Now I'm Here (Def Leppard with Brian May)
*Paradise City (GnR)
*Pinball Wizard (Roger Daltrey w/Queen)
*I Want It All (Roger Daltrey w/Queen)
*Innuendo (Robert Plant w/Queen)
*'39 (George Michael w/Queen; the song is listed on the CD as "Year of
39"!)
*I Want to Break Free (Lisa Stansfield w/Queen)
*Under Pressure (Annie Lennox, David Bowie w/Queen)
*All the Young Dudes (Ian Hunter, David Bowie, Mick Rowson, All-Star
Chorus, w/Queen)
*Bohemian Rhapsody (Elton John, A_l Rose w/Queen)
*Too Much Love (Brian May)
*Radio Ga Ga (Paul Young w/Queen)
*We Are the Champion (Liza Minelli, All-Star Chorus, w/Queen; the song
is listed on the CD as "We're the Champions"!)
*The Lord's Prayer (David Bowie)

Oddly enough, the drummer on the CD is listed as "Robert" Taylor!!! Hope
this helps. patt.

The FM tribute concert is on Video and the number on my 2 video set is
MVB 4910623 by PMI picture music international it runs for 207 minutes
and misses out a couple of the first half acts and the problems with the
sound that occurred ( i was there). Its a great set and well worth the
money assuming its still available.

You can officially buy it on video in any good record shop. The cd of the
concert can be found oon bootleg but is of not so gogod qualit. Easiest
to dub down of video or original radio broadcast version. However cd
quality can be ascertained if you have a laser disc machine which is a
large disc whihc ocntains bothe the pictures and music at cd quaity. You
can still get it oin London and other big aplces, and also Queen in
Budapest in this format too which includes the version of Lov eof my LIfe
whihc they usually ommit on tele and I think on the convetional video
release...

Andrew, I'm surprised you didn't tape it off of MuchMusic when they
aired it. What's makes the MM broadcast interesting, IMO, is that Erica
Ehm (the interviewer/host at the event) made a complete ass of herself
interviewing everyone from Roger Daltrey to Def Leppard.

What really disgusted me about that broadcast is that when Erica Ehm
asked Cindy Crawford why she was there, all Cindy said was "I like
hanging out at these kinds of big events. They're fun." Gee, Cindy, I'm
glad you are so willing to honour us with your presence.

Actually I did tape it off...the entire 6 hours...but the reproduction on
my shittty old VCR made a bad sounding tape...
I agree Erica did act like a little Ditz...gee...wonder why she's not
there anymore-eh? now she's hosting stupid granny shows on the Discovery
channel!
Cindy Crawford....well she was just acting...like a...well this is a g
rated newsgroup...so she's just an idiot!

Could you post a track list for that?
Please?
My US copy (Hollywood Records Music Video 1780) is only 175 minutes and 1 tape, but the official bio says the UK tape has the same stuff as what's on my tape.

Here's what's on my tape:
Metallica - Enter Sandman/Sad But True/Nothing Else Matters
Extreme - Queen Medley
Def Leppard - Now I'm Here
Guns 'N' Roses - Paradise City/Knockin' On Heaven's Door
Liz Taylor - Speech
Joe Elliot - Tie Your Mother Down
Roger Daltrey - I Want It All
Gary Cherone - Hammer to Fall
James Hetfield - Stone Cold Crazy
Robert Plant - Kashmir intro/Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Brian - Too Much Love Will Kill You
Paul Young - Radio Ga Ga
Seal - Who Wants to Live Forever
Lisa Stansfield - I Want to Break Free
David Bowie/Annie Lennox - Under Pressure
Ian Hunter/David Bowie/Mick Ronson - All the Young Dudes
David Bowie/Mick Ronson - Heroes
George Michael - '39
George Michael/Lisa Stansfield - These Are the Days of Our Lives
George Michael - Somebody to Love
Elton John/Axl Rose - Bohemian Rhapsody
Elton John - The Show Must Go On
Axl Rose - We Will Rock You
Liza Minnelli/Everybody - We Are the Champions

Is there more than that on the UK video?

Aha! So it appears that the following is on the UK video tape, but not the US one:

>Freddie video clips
>Freddie video clips

>Bob Geldof and the happy club - Too late god

>Zucchero - Las Palabras de amor

I think I can safely speak for most of us here in the US when I say,
"That sucks man! I feel cheated."

What are the Freddie clips?

As far as I remember there's a clip of him in concert singing "You Take
my Breath Away" and there's a bit of the video for "These are the Days
of our Lives" among others
