I am wondering if anyone actually knows the last concert Freddie did
as Queen... venue, place, date? Also does anyone know where and when
Freddie's final public appearance was, such as an interview or event
or whatever. Thanks!

C'mon, any REAL Queen fan should know THAT! <joking>. Freddie's last
concert with Queen was at Knebworth Park in England on August 9, 1986
to an audience of 120,000. As for his last public appearance or
whatever, I would guess it would probably have been the Brit awards of
1990, but I can't be sure.

It definitely was Knebworth. If you'd like to get more information try
to get a copy of the "Champions Of The World" video.

I thought Queens last concert was just after the Webmley concert. Their
manager asked them for one more concert. They said they'd only play of it
got sold out, and it WAS sold out. This is what i can remember from the
documentary "the queen phenomenon" (a shortened version of the video
"champions of the world").

Hi,

I went to what I thought was the last Freddie Mercury with Queen
on 7th August 1986 at Knebworth Park. This was the last show
Queen ever did live (publicly).

Hope this answer's your question.

Hang Loose,

Dudeman.

I may be greatly mistaken, but I think his last public appearance was at
British Music Awards (or something like that) ceremony in February of 1990.
I'm not sure whether or not he performed there. Before that he appeared
at the '88 Olympics in Barcelona, where he had to do a "lip-sync" because
there was something wrong with his voice due to AIDS.

The Barcelona Olympics were in 1992, so Freddie couldn't have performed
there. I remember them playing 'Barcelona' and thinking how nice it would
have been for him to have lived to hear it played there.

Just a small point... The 1988 Olympics were held in Seoul, and the '92 in
Barcelona. This was after he died.

Ah yes, I remember it well. After the horrible Olympics Committee said
they didn't *want* Barcelona any more (just cos he wasn't there to sing
it we had to have Andrew Lloyd-bloody-Webber!!) the BBC (British TV)
showed it as the background to a wonderful water fountain display.
Whether this was a display engineered by the city itself or something the
Beeb did for themselves I can't remember but it was bloody brilliant!!!!!
