If anyone here follows a guy named Lenny Kravitz, who in my opinion is
one of the most talented, yet vastly underrated musicians today, you'd
realise that his live guitarist, Craig Ross, has an uncanny resemblance
to Brian May. Both got this great mass of funny hair. Furthermore, their
playing style is almost idenitcal. Get Lenny's album "Are You Gonna Go
My Way", and more than one track, you'd say to yourself that Brian
himself snuck into Lenny's studio and overdubbed his parts on the songs.
I guess there's no point in writing this post since nobody responds to
anything worth responding anymore. The only reason why people respond in
this newsgroup is to display how witty they can reply to a post which
they don't agree with.

Hm, I don't think Lenny Kravitz is underrated. He got quite some airplay here
in Germany, and MTV seems to love him. He even was credited as some 'new John
Lennon' etc. I don't know. I like some of his songs, and I own the 'Circus'
CD. Mr. Kravitz also seems to do quite some producing, like Vanessa Paradis
(and the single sounded *very much* like Lenny Kravitz :) What I don't get -
are you crediting Lenny Kravitz being similar to Brian May or his live
guitarrist (whom I don't know - I assume Lenny is playing guitar on his albums
himself).

cheers,

His live guitarist, who also plays on some the studio albums also. He played the
explosive riffs on "Are You Gonna Go My Way", perhaps the greatest and unforgettable
riffs this decade. Also, if you can get hold of a Lenny video called "Circus", you
could actually see Brian instead of Craig Ross... kinda reminds me of that campy part
from "The Miracle" video where Brian himself pops in for a tick during the main body of
the song...

Lenny Kravitz described himself as a corny motherfucker on TV recently. He
was being kind to his un-original ass.
