What I Want to know is...?
The promo CD single for ALS, which had a blurred photo of the bar from
the main sleeves, now empty, contained two tracks: the album version
and the "Johnny Dollar mix", which was very similar to the usual mix,
except a minute longer. So the question is: *is* this JD mix the same
as the "Alternative Mix" that's on CD2, or is it a bona fide
unreleased 'rare' thing. If the latter, it's not worth checking out
unless you're a completist, I reckon.
It looks like I'll have to buy CD2 then. No great loss. :)
And finally, why do people who don't like ALS not like it?
Cheers,
Tom.
There's a weird saxophone-like instrument at the end. It sounds as if it
was backwards-sampled, but I checked, and it sounds even more backwards
when turned backwards.
Don't know why people don't like this song. It's really good, and
Jarvis' appearance on TFI Friday proved he still retains his god-like
qualities. Noticed Janet clapping for him before he sang. Do you think
she remembers he kicked her brother's arse?......
