Liam. -Can't have the music if it weren't for him.
Keith and Maxim tie in high regards, and Leeroy, um, Last. -I probably should
have higher regards for him, but, uh, I don't.

On stage:
Leeroy.
Has been the favorite ever since I first saw the EITP video. Always two inches off the
ground.
Damn, he's smooth.

In the studio:
Liam of course, The Prodigy wouldn't be without him.
Leeroy's Dreamer is an excellent piece of music and that's sadly the only thing I've heard
from him. But according to some descriptions of his Longman EP, the music on it seems to
fit my liking very well, with it's electro influences and breakbeats (so I've heard).

Well, it's an old video. But he's by far the best dancer in that video. Look at Maxim for
instance, does he look less dumb than Leeroy? (Who doesn't look dumb in that video btw?
It's a Let's-have-some-fun sort of video.)
I still like those old have-a-laugh videos more than the new ones. I think some the newer
videos are very cool but I enjoy watching the crew just dancing and fooling around in
EITP, OOS and WIU. But yeah, three videos like that was enough I guess. It was a good
thing to move on, although the Fire video was a flop. I liked the One Love video. I've
always been a bit fascinated by computer graphics and animations (all time fave is
Kraftwerk's Musique Non Stop video - Pioneering!) so it (the One Love vid) instantly
caught my attention when I first saw it only to be shadowed out a few milliseconds later
by the excellent tune emerging from my TV's crappy speaker.
No Good was cool and Poison even cooler with it's barely noticeable tweaks here and there.
Voodoo people is IMO the best edited video as in synchronizing the music with the film,
very well made. The Firestarter video wasn't all that good IMO, with it's main aim only to
focus on Keith there's really nothing more to it than that, pretty boring. Breathe had it
going a little bit more with Keith and Maxim's dueling and the weird feeling of the
surrounding with the animals/gravity-warps and all. Although I think Maxim is loosing it a
bit :)
Then there is the SMBU video. A masterpiece I would say with the video being even more
sarcastic than the track title itself. That's at least how I see it. I was actually
sniggering fiercely through out the whole video when I first saw it only to burst into
heavy laughter when the mirror revealed the female. Certainly a video for the sarcastic
generation (that's us). I can't see how some people can be offended by the track title,
and I think it was sort of a statement from the director/script-writer/group take the
thing even further and make a 'disturbing' video just for the hell/fun of it. Why can't
people see that it's just pure fun!!!

Well, it's a less complex than most of Liam's tunes but it's got a very funky breakbeat,
especially noticeable towards the end when the beat resumes after a longer break. The some
of the sounds/samples used are also quite cool. He could have cut down on the female
vocals a little though.

But still, Liam is king of cool sounds. Just listen to the beginning of CS beta, or
Mindfields for that matter (or any Prodigy track!). Speaking of CS beta, don't y'all think
it went by the name 'The Devil Inside (of You)' or something like that before it evolved
into Claustrophobic Sting. IMO it's too different from CS to be the 'same' track in an
earlier stage, to me it sounds more like Claustrophobic Sting is [The Devil Inside pt. 2],
kinda like G-force and The Heat (The Energy).
Anekdote (narcotic suite and all); a friend of mine was tripping on some (laugh if you
wish) shrooms and I just had to play him Claustrophobic Sting. He actually (in his mildly
deluded state of mind) got so scared of it that he had to turn it off!

I find computer animations boring on TV. They're a big turn off for
viewers. Directors should use them mainly for manipulating real-life
footage.

One Love is the 2nd worst vid, IMHO.

Poison - the 2nd best video!

Whaaaaa!? The music does not synch in with the vid very well, if at

the music video equivalent of ITCHY & SCRATCHY!

hmm..not really. there are videos where just doesn't fit anything else
than computer animation. i like some of those animations for some kind
of trance music from a channel called 'w bpm'. much better than mtv in
my opinion. no backstreet gays :) i don't have the channel myself but
the first time when my friend recorded it for me about an hour there
were lots of my fav. artists (=jeff mills, laurent garnier etc.) and
even poison by prodigy. the sound and the pic was quite a shitty because
my mate's vcr's need some fixing...but the poison video was kind of
weird because the sound was like "i got the poison i got the remedy" was
normal sound but "the pulsating rhythmical remedy" was like under the
ground. the sound was low every time that sentence... and i think it
wasn't because of the crap vcr's..i think it was made by the 'w bpm'
channel.

Nooo! But I see what you mean.

The blue-screened real guy with the drum sticks is definitely Maxim
tho!

Not neccessarily. Could be edited on normal VT machines.

Directed by a guy who did a Mustang jeans commercial.

>And btw, what about the original cover intended for SMBU, anyone got a scan of that one?

Only details I have is that it's a drawing of a classic VW Beetle,
rammed into a lampost.

I could draw that, and upload it. But some dicks out there might
actually think it was the real cover for it.

Hmmm... Looks like I'll draw a South Park spoof instead then :)

Go on, that'd be cool. (and it'd be an EN exclusive lol :)

Unauthorized Broadcasting is widely
expected even encouraged, keep music
[ k E N z I e ] sampled so stop reading the small
print and spin the fucking tune...

Actually, I've done some spoof artwork for EN tonight. Not the SMBU
thing, but something different. You'll see!

Perhaps if I place the image enough times on the billboard, some
idiots might actually believe it's real? :)

That's probably what Petri meant too.

Sure is.

Could be, it maybe is, and we'll never know.

That "...jeans don't die, they just fade away..." shit?

Yah, heard that too. Where did that roumor originate?

No idea.

Not a rumour - it was confirmed by Prodigy/XL in a press release in
the post-Diana-death week.

But no more details on the Firestarter vid?
Was it actually recorded and then discarded or was it just an unfinished idea?

Oh, sorry. Didn't mean to offend.

Shitty and cliched - that was the opinion of the band.

It was supposed to be some kind of party scene, IIRC...

Recorded and then discarded.
