Yes, but if Prince had a #1 album, Fans, and even Prince, would be ranting and
raving that it was #1.

Yeah, they would. Fans are like that. We're special here, though. We love him
so much, we don't just want to hear him make good music, we want him to make
loads and loads of money. Money that he's not gonna share with any of us
(unless you're a Love4oneanother charity).
There are a lot of us here waiting for a great album like Lovesexy
( at the time his worst selling album, but always my personal favorite).
Obviously we all think he's capable of doing whatever it is we think he
should be doing, making money, records or both. Or at least we give a damn.
Visit some of those other newsgroups, some of them are practically empty.
People that think Seal's last album sucked are too busy to discuss it.
Forgive my ramblings, and please excuse any grammatical errors.

g'nite.

its interesting but if tthis were LOVESEXY times, we'd be bitching about the
fact that the album didnt make the top 10 and that it wasnt selling, get over
it, the charts dont matter, if they did then Puffy and Vanilla Ice are the best
rappers ever...NOT!!!!!!and Alanis Morrissette is the best female artist of all
time...oh please she's not even close...FLAVA OF THE DAY thats all its about

If his sales fall , it really doesnt matter. Look at all the people who
do sell a lot of records...(Puff Daddy and all of the other bull shit you
hear on the radio right now), they have no talent and they rely on
creative marketing and promotion, and incessant radio play to boost album
sales. If it was really about music, these jokers would be homeless or
the guests of a "Where are they now" show on the Jenny Jones show for
all the once popular people who have faded into obscurity. Is it any
small wonder that all the real musical talents dont have real strong album
sales? Hmmmmm......

First off.. AS MUCH as I dog Puffy and all those HORRIFYING ppl they
call "rappers".. Heck, they are even accepted as "Genius" and
"MUSICIANS" believe it or not nowadays! But, BUT!... These guys
(Puffy and some of the new "Producers" out there) ARE in fact
talented, just not in a way to gain any respect from anyone outside
the Crap, I mean, RAP community... You MUST agree with e when I say
that Puff's "talents" lie in MAKING MOULA! THAT'S the MAIN job of a
producer anyway.. Making a recoprd that will make the label MONEY!
AND< if there is ONE thing that I CAN resppect "Knob Puffer" uh, I
mean Puff Daddy.. It's the fact that he does have the "ppl" eating
out of his hands.... His job is one done well, and for that, if I
were hangin' around at a party and we started talking while guzzling
Newcastles, I would show him respect in our converstations....

Just as Kirky J's ONLY duty is to hold a BACK BEAT in P's band..
Puffy's duty is to produce records that SELL!

And I only use Kirky J as an example because that's ALL he CAN do! At
least that FOOL can ACT like he's playin' to the actual beat of a drum
machine! :)

OK dude.. BUT... Making THE LABEL money is HIS JOB! AND, why do you
think labels are still around? There IS a need for them from EVERY
Artist.. Do you think Run DMC, Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde, or ANY of
those original rap artists would have hit it ANYWHERE without a major
label????

WHO CARES about the ARTISTS when you are a label;??? THAT is their
BUSINESS! Just as Krogers business is to sell FOOD! The bag boy
makes as LOW as they can pay him.. But why should they care??? As
long as there are jobs, there will be some slob to take it REGARDLESS
of what they get paid! Just like as long as there are LABELS there
will ALWAYS be some IDIOT young guy who thinks that his product
advance is for him to fill his mouth with Gold teeth and buy himself a
pimp daddy caddilac! TLC and Toni Braxton didn't watch there funds..
They thought "Rock Star + Rich".. Sorry kids! Don't happen that way!
Why do you think that there are SO MANY Flash In The Pan RAPPERS?
Where's that NAS guy? MAYBE he's cutting records.. BUT, he's NOT on
top o' the charts like he once was... Where's Snoop Doggy Dog? Sure
he's got a new record.. But is it as big as when he first came out??
Only reason you know about his record is because of the hype
surrounding him when he first came out!

i saw that coming when i first listened to it. He's holding back, it
just doesn't grip you the way 1999 or controversy did, and many other of
his albums.
He needs to drop the n.p.g and just be himself
