Anyone got hold of GCS2000 or the new master in the UK yet?

I can't find it anywhere.

Yes and no; I ordered the NewPowerPack from NewFunk and the New Master from
Music Boulevard (both in America).

I got both. I got GCS2000 with the Newpowerpak. And 1999: The New Master
from an independant shop here in Bolton. Since neither are 'officially' for
sale here, I'll do a copy of both for anyone who sends me a tape.

What I don't understand is:
If Prince wanted us to buy the newpowerpak from 1800
then why release nps as a single entity months b4 the pak was available.

As far as i'm concerned, it would really bug me to have to wait for a
while to hear new material ordered from 1800 when I can quite easily
pop into any music store and buy it now.

because only people who are on the net know about the new power pack....
there are many people who have no idea about the whole 1800 thing or love 4
one another, the NPP was the better deal in the long run, but 4 those who
couldn't get it he had 2 give them something

I guess so, but I knew about the pak from the net but I got too
frustrated waiting
(and not knowing how long I'd have to wait), whilst knowing that I
could, at anytime, stroll into a wreckastow and pick up a copy of nps.

Do UK keyboards come with that sign on them, or do you hafta use some funky key
combination? I know it's a stupid question, but I'm curious. (And if anyone
tells me to find the answer in Uptown, I will not be amused. ;)

Except for AOL, for some stupid reason it refuses to recognise the pound sign.
I know they're from America, but a few allowances should have been made for us
Brits. Maybe v.4 will allow me the small honour of using my rightful currency
symbol <sigh>

shut up Rick.

Incidentally everyone, this week is "half-term" school holiday in the UK.
Judging by the time these messages are sent it has become clearly obvious
that we should stop picking on little Ricky as he's merely a schoolboy :(

we'd better stop having a go at him or we'll get done for child abuse !

Actually, I'm increasingly of the opinion that Rick is being genuine,
and is not such a bad egg after all. And he did have an interesting
point there - what *is* on a US keyboard where the '#' is on UK
versions? :)

He's also right - it's a better thread than these tiresome arguments
about 'truth' IMO, and I'm rather pleased that we haven't yet had a
response to Rick's query along the lines of "Christ, Rick! Just buy a US
keyboard and find out for yourself! Search the web for US keyboard
layouts! Idiot!"

To get your pound sign, we'd have to use the <alt> key with some other keys.
The get the symbol for Prince... well, that ain't made it to my keyboard yet.

So what are everybody's Top 5 keyboard characters? Oh stop, I'm kidding.
