Time to dust off the record players - as the estate of Prince intends
to release some archival music that is pretty rare on the Vinyl record
format. Time for me and Biz Markie to add to our record collections.

A selection of The Purple Ones archived music that he recorded
sometime in the early 2000s will be released on vinyl for the first
time. Prince's estate announced the news last week via Instagram.

His estate is releasing Princes 2001 and 2002 albums The Rainbow
Children and One Nite Alone, respectively, both of which will be
reissued on April 17 via Legacy Recordings.

Two live studio albums, One Nite AloneLive! and One Night AloneThe
Aftershow: It Aint Over!, will also drop that same day. In addition to
the vinyl releases, all of the records will be released on CD as
Prince: The One Nite Alone Collection. This later box set will come
with a DVD copy of Princes filmed concert at the Aladdin in Las
Vegas.

Rolling Stone noted that Prince released The Rainbow Children and One
Nite Alone under his name after he reverted it back from his iconic
Love symbol following his legal dispute with Warner Bros.

These latest releases come after a series of Princes estate remastered
his classic double-album, 1999, simultaneously released the project
across digital and streaming platforms, according to Billboard.
Previously, the estate dropped a 15-track album, Originals, comprised
of previously unheard songs and re-released The Versace Experience
(Prelude 2 Gold), Emancipation, and Chaos and Disorder on vinyl
versions as well.
