What do you think?

And don't say, that no primus album is the worst.

Well, I wasn't too fond of Pork Soda, and I've already posted that I didn't
like the Brown Album. I did like Rhino, though, and I liked the start of
Punchbowl.

Frizzlefry rules--I dont think anybody will ever top that one.

Interesting question, I have never though of anything negative bout the P,
but I would say their worst album would be the punchbowl. I don't understand
what the big deal is about the beaver song, which seems like it might have
been a bit of a "hit" in the states, slap me if I am wrong. I come from
africa (but a white boy if it matters) and have not had any media of Primus
at all, I just picked out the sailing the seas.. cd a few years ago and just
looked out for a new cd in the shops every so often, no media and no friends
cept my chick liked them. I have recently moved to London which is a lot
better, but you spoilt bastards in the states should count your blessings
that you have access to so many cool things.
I think Brown is pretty good, like the trippy songs on the second half, like
the lighter in the shoe, that song kicks.
Must say now you have me thinking about the negative Im pretty tired about
the drum solo mission, and personally don't think it suits the Primus
creativity thing, I think the long solo is a bit tiresome and went out with
Linard scinard (yeah I can't spell), although a jam bass and drums is cool.
What do you guys
think?

Starting to hear "ramble on" going in the background so will shut my gob for
now

(Rhino is a cover. I dont consider cover has an official album.. I've
heard so many time the solos in tommy (each show he does differants
things.. i like it) that my head just blewed up)

SAILING THE SEAS OF CHEESE is the best album
2nd place for Pork Soda

The beaver song was a "little hit" here in Austria an the other german
language countries (Germany and Switzerland). The beaver song is not
so bad, but many people can't listen to this song, because they hear
it to death (This phrase is taken from german; In Austria we would say
"zu Tode gehört")

My favorite album is "Sailing the seas....."
So:

1. Sailing... (best)
2. Pork Soda
3. Freezle Fry
4. Mad House
5. Tales....
6. Suck on this
7. Holy mackerel (see Sausage)
8. Misc Debris
9. Sausage (I know, it isn't a primus album, but Les is my favorite
Primus - member)
10. Brown album
11. Rhinoplasty

The albums with Brain are on the last places, so you see: Primus is
"better" with Herb than with Brain as a member. (I think so)

I think Rhinoplasty or Brown are the worst. Tim Herb Alexander is the
greatest drummer alive. Best is Frizzle Fry

For me, at least 6 of their top 10 songs are on this album. Primus must
agree, as these songs still make up half of their live show, plus Tommy,
which was written in this era.

See I am a bass player, and Punch Bowl to me has too much of a "Studio
Sound" if you know what I mean. And Ler has too guitar lead and Les is too
much underneith it all...but it is still good album, but Sea's and Porksoda
are much better discs....

I would have to agree here. I think the major problem with the Brown
album is the mix sucks big time. The drums sound awful (not played
awfully, just don't sound good) and it just doesn't go very well, but
everytime I've heard a song off this album played live, they generally
kick ass.

I like the way the Brown album has that "Garage sound" to it. It gives it a
unique sound to my cd collection. It is different from the usual "Studio
perfect" sound. Brown album wouldn't be NEARLY as good if it had a sound
like Punchbowl (all professional and crystal clear) Just think of Shake
hands with Beef or Fisticuffs sounding like that...no thanks....I think I
will stick with the way it is. I have to admit I thought it was crap at
first too but I got use to it and now I think it is great.

Good point, Beef and Fisticuffs do sound good this way, so does over
the falls, some of the other songs kinda suffer though

When they recorded Brown album, they took their old analog mixer.. that is why it
sounds like this and it was intended to sound like this (like a band from a
garage.. pretty cool, doesn't have to sound perfect IMHo

I have to say that I really like the boxy sound of the Brown Album. I
like how you can hear the room in the recording. I think it fits
Brain's drumming style too. The sound is just good all around. It even
sounds "brown."

TBA isn'e my favorite album but it's still quite good.

Experimenting with different recording styles is great. I love hearing
originality (Primus is the group for that) that goes beyond just the
songs. Recording style, samples, new instruments, use of
"non-instruments" as instruments.

It's cool how they work with Tom Waits as well. As my friend says,
"He's one of the people on the short list of musicians who didn't suck
in the 80's."

Yeah. I think, that every Primus album is as good as the last one.
There's no exceptions.
I like 'em all and I have 'em all.
Primus sucks, totally.
But I'm bit bored to 'em all right now.
For that I've been listening to Rammstein, S.O.A.D, KoRn, Deftones, Limp
Bizkit and (HED)pe for a while.

TBA Rocks da house.
Captain shiner kicks your ass, if you don't like it.

My friend's band, "Hero Inc." played their last gig with drums made of
junk.
There was metal, plastic and even a big cauldron.
That rocked.

Tom Waits... Isn't he that old man, who's voice is rotten and he plays
guitar like a crazy monkey?
And he sang the lyrics of "Tommy the cat"?
That guy kicks ass.
Like Cartman.

Yes, that guy who "sounds like he's gargling with gravel." That's a
