Does anybody know what instruments, besides drums, are being used on
Wounded Knee? Xylophone/Vibraphone?

This is a funny Primus song. One of the few, if any of hand that is
completely percussion. I'd love to know who's playing all those
instruments. Is it just herb?

From Modern Drummer September '93: (Man, that's seems so long ago!)

MD: "Wounded Knee" is a drumset/percussion composition on the new album.
What inspired you to put that together? It's hard to pick out what you're
doing?

TA: That's because I played two drum kits, one of them in 3/4 and the other
4/4, each playing separate parts. "The Rhythmatist" by Stewart Copeland was a
big influence on me for creating this piece. I played everything on this
one--two tracks of marimba, African thumb piano, and various percussion
instruments. The basic drum beat came first, then I set a delay on my drums
to get the effect of them bouncing back and forth. The second kit served the
role of a percussion unit. The piece is like a lot of the stuff that I've put
together in my spare time. I was nervous playing it for the other guys
because it's very much in the " H e r b " realm, very percussion-y.

You're welcome.

try elderly instruments at http://www.elderly.com

they seem to specialize in weird stuff (They are the only place I have
ever seen dijeredoos (Sp/?) advertised), especially exotic percussion stuff.
