Back in the Summer of 2002, Mark Janson's Brass Express merged with The
Polka Towners - Chapter II.
After about six months, Mark decided to take devote more time to his
promotional activities. The drumming
duties were taken over by Paul Romanowski.

The group now known as The new Brass Express consists of:
Darrell Weltin - accordian, concertina, keyboard - (leader)
Tommy Reder - clarinet, sax
John Rzyhak - trumpet, clarinet, vocals
Larry Chonowski - trumpet
Mark Durocher - bass
Paul Romanowski - drums, vocals

Darrell is from the Brass Express, Paul is from the Michigan Connection and
the other musicains are from
Tommy Reder's Polka Towners and the Polka Towners Chapter II.

Each member of the group has over 20 years of experience in the polka field.
They are well versed the more
'traditional' style of Polish polkas. The group has just finished recording
at Peppermint Studios. They are hoping
that the CD will be available for the Frankenmuth Summerfest.

Will keep you informed.

Tommy,

Congrats on the merger! I know your band will represent the
Mid-Michigan polka scene very well. I have had the opportunity to hear
your band at the Bavarian Fest in Frankenmuth, at 7 Springs and
Pulaski Hall in Bay City, MI. You guys do a great job and have a
wonderful sound.
I strongly suggest that all of polka fans in polka land make sure that
you catch a set or two of theirs at the Summer Music Fest. For more
info on that make sure you visit: www.frankenmuthfestivals.

Best of luck,
Seth Drzewicki
