The Continentals will be making their first trip to the Northeast performing at the German-American Cultural Society in Pawtucket, RI Saturday May 4, 2013 (7pm) and then again on Sunday May 5, 2013 (2pm)

I'm really looking forward to seeing some of you and the band will feature mostly "German" Music on Saturday Night -- and a LARGE MIX OF POLKA STYLES Sunday Afternoon. PLUS, you just might hear some songs from the band's NEW CD coming out in June/July!

Mark down the dates and make a reservation.

Here are 2 links to Flyers for the performances:

Just a bump up -- I hope to see lots of folks I've never had the chance to meet in this part of the USA -- I do know that many reservations have already been made...

Well, I see a LOT of posts about where bands are performing, but rarely see how the event went...

If you ever get the chance to perform or attend a dance at The German-American Cultural Society in Pawtucket, RI, you should. The Old Hall is Beautiful - nice acoustics, plenty of seating and the whole floor is a wooden dance floor. The food they serve is also top-notch!

Our Performance Saturday Night 5/4 had a very small crowd. It appears that The "German" membership does not support dances or is just too old to come out on Saturday Night. The people who did attend were wonderful.

Our regular Polka Dance Performance Sunday 5/5 was fantastic. A larger crowd that really made us feel at home. Much Laughter, Dancing, Singing and they stayed till the end of the day. If I could, I would've brought those great folks back home with us!

John Ziobrowski (PAC President) and Erika Danner, 1st Vice-President of the GACS Club started running Sunday "Polish Style" polka dances there about 6 years ago and they are succeeding. The dances are well attended.

Here is a link to the polka dance schedule:

I can't wait to perform there again - Thanks John & Erika and all of the people that treated us like family - 1 Polka Family! FYI - The Continentals Played German, Polish, Slovene and a Czech song or two that weekend.

Mike, I agree, that is a great place to play. I have played there a few times, most recently with Bud Hundenski. They always treat the bands right. Food, drink and respect. You hardly seem to get all three in one place anymore.
