What Happened to Big Joe Polka Show?

RFD TV the last couple of weeks ? Although the listings describe
episodes of the show and two weeks ago Joe was promising brand new
episodes recently taped in Texas, what is appearing now are old
segments of 1991 programs entitled Agrovision Chmielewski Fun Time ---
not bad, but they certainly aren't new Big Joe episodes. Nothing on
the RFD or Polka Catalog ( Big Joe ) websites says anything about the
show being cancelled or replaced, but neither is there any mention of
the BJ show now on FRD TV ads, which usually advertise his shows
regularly. I hope that this is just a pause in Big Joe's programming
and not a permanent discontinuation . The show is known to be
extremely popular throughout the rural Midwest so hopefully someone
there can tell us what's going on.

Whoa---I had a feeling it was something like that ---what a shame ---I
love the show, as I know thousands of people do , and have the feeling
that RFD-TV is the best (only?) possibility for it to be seen around
the country. Without knowing any of the details, I wonder if Big Joe
shouldn't accept the channel's terms if all the other programmers
( dozens of country shows , J. Sturr, etc. ) do. I sure hope for the
best and will email the station ---hope that many polka people who
support the show do this, too---after all this is the polka field's
only nationwide TV programming .

the music...reminds me of a bar in Petaluma CA...they had a sign in
the front window...liquor in front, poker in rear...what was they
talking about...was that BIG JOE...miss the accordian fest in Cotati
in Aug...so many polka bands one could poker all night....so to
speak....too few POKER shows...git yur women and poker, poker, poker
