The above is M. Lush's original version: The grammar isn't always
the best: Marion was a great singer and musician, but his grammar
wasn't always perfect (Of course the same can be said about many great
CW singers, rockers, rappers,etc.)
As foir the other two numbers, fortunately, these lyrics can both
be found online : "Wish I was single" is an old American folk song---
and you can google the title and find lots of lyrics for it. The text
of "Oj dana polka" can be found on the concertinamusic.com, site,
which has a lot of Polish-style standard lyrics, as well as concertina
song charts. I'm not sure if the ("not for air play") words of this
number are the best for a grandma's 90th birthday celebration, but
anyway that's where they can be found. It's good that these are
online--- Otherwise an awful lot of writing would be required...
I'm posting, rather than sending this because someone may have
already forwarded some of these lyrics, as requested: This way, even
if some of this has already been sent to that party, this effort can
still benefit others---and the more who benefit from it, the better. I
trust that Pete or someone else can forward this info, as needed, to
Mr. Motak---or that he can see it himself online.
Whoops, a typo in the first line of "Na Zdrowie" ---the third word
should be spelled "chlopcy."
