Why is it that almost ever time I see a Polish Style Polka band "live" video - that darn drummer MUST click his sticks together for the count the exact same way?

(click) - (click click)

or (Click)-- (Click) -- (Click Click)

Is there some code/rule that MUST be enforced or you lose polka points?

There are many ways to count off a song in 2/4...
