After 17 years producing polka music on WHUS Radio, 91.7 FM, I feel it's
time to bring to an end one of the longest running polka programs heard on
the air coming from Storrs, Ct. I want to thank all the polka band leaders
who were so generous in sending me their albums, CDs and cassettes over
this period which made polka music the most listened to style of music
here at WHUS.
This past Friday had to be a very sad day for me as I said good bye to the
listeners of THE POLKA COFFEE BREAK for the last time. Who knows, maybe if
my health improves, I'll try to go back on the air but lots of things have
to improve.
Thanks to all the listeners who sent or called in their regrets, at least
I know you cared.

Franek has been always been one of those individuals that loved polka
music from a place deep within his heart.

We at the Polish American Journal wish him well and the best of luck.
Thanks for your consistent efforts, Franek.

Frank you will be missed. While at work on Fridays I had your station
on all morning for all the other contractors to listen to. These were
all non Polka people and they really enjoyed your show. We all will
miss you. Good luck with your health and your future. Thanks for all
the requests and dedications you have made to myself and Mary Ellen
along with all the years of promoting Polka Music. GOD BLESS.
