Do they know that people don't bother to check any of it anyway?!!

Of course people are influenced by spam. Otherwise there wouldn't be any.
All commercials influence people. Like it or not.

Maybe _you_ won't, but you can't speak for everybody else. Believe me, if
spam never worked, there wouldn't be that much of it.
