Dear PSB Fan Base,

I was just wondering why there hasn't been a great response to the PSB Fan
Base project yet?

I know some of you think that the IT MUST BE OBVIOUS list is already doing
a good job of providing us with up to date info on the Boys, and I'm not

PET SHOP BOYS THOUGHTS ON VERY - PART 1 OF 5
----------------------------------------------------------------

"I Wouldn't Normally Do This Kind Of Thing"

Top smutty Carry On Pettoes title belies a sweet Motown style song about
how love can occasionally send you off your trolley. Includes "Very"'s
recurrent Neil-in-the-nude motif: "I feel like taking all my clothes
off/and dancing to the rite of spring".
Chris: "Neil in the nude! That is worrying. You should see our fan
magazine Literally
where Neil bares his torso. He went on a diet which worked wonders and he
was so proud that he had to show the world...."

History of a Fan(atic)
by Ether

1986
I'm twelve years old, and I there's that song again. Quick where's a tape?

writing these things down. If I'm lucky, the DJ will announce the name of
the group after the commercial. I tape the song and play it loud until my
parents shout for me to go to sleep. Later, I spill a mug of hot chocolate
on this tape, and weep for several hours. I even try to unwind the ribbon,
wipe it dry with a cloth and hang it on the clothesline to dry. It plays
after that, but just barely.

The DJ never announced the name of the group, but the title of the song
was apparent. "West End Girls." It was the defining moment in my change of
tastes from rock and roll to dance music.
