Boxcar CD: Vertigo (Arista US 8610)(1990). This is a great electronic
dance album that should appear to fans of the Pet Shop Boys and
especially New Order (c. Shell Shock/True Faith). It's long out of print
and now very hard to find. Boxcar was a four-piece band from Australia
that originally recorded a couple of great dance singles on the Nettwerk
label ("Insect" and the very New-Orderish "Freemason"), before signing
with Arista Records and releasing this album in 1990. Tracks are: Gas
Stop (Who Do You Think You Are); Insect; Vertigo; Freemason (You Broke
the Promise); Comet; Hit & Run; 900 Hours; Lelore; Cruel to You; This is
the Town; and Index.
