OK Folks! Every major college radio station in North America now has a copy
of both Sister Friction CD's. More specifically, any substantial station
that plays electronic/dance music and reports to the CMJ BPM chart has
Sister Friction, 333 stations. If you would like to help spread the word
about Sister Friction, just call up your local college station and request a
Sister Friction song. "Love At A Distance" (jax 7" radio) or "Sometimes"
(bleed 7" radio) would be great requests. Thanks for your support!

Robert of Sister Friction (the only current member of Sister Friction for
those keeping score) has begun a new side-project with Bil Sherman of the
Minneapolis band Sherman Electric, a really fun power pop rock 4-piece. We
don't have a name for the project yet, but the first two songs we're doing
are "We Want Your Hair" and "The Professionals," both written by Bil. The
initial results of the collaboration are very exciting. Internet info on
Sherman Electric is limited, but you can start at Homocore Minneapolis (
http://www.daily.umn.edu/~swanson/homocore/ ). You can also go here (a
little something I put together ...
http://www.visi.com/~friction/sherman.html ) to listen to sound clips from
their debut CD Asteroids. Bil is a really great songwriter and a wonderful
person, so check out his songs when you have the time.

Sister Friction was the Electronic / Techno Featured Artist for July 3 -
July 9 at http://www.riffage.com and was the Daily Pick (see it here) on
July 13th.
Here's what they had to say: "A postmodern paradise for the ears: You
absolutely cannot sit still listening to Sister Friction's turntable
wizardry. His eclectic mixes have a more mainstream appeal than many of his
fellow masters of electronica, and his music has an atemporal (though, at
times, markedly 80s), euro-dance music style that is difficult not to like.
His trademark seems to be wild synth artistry with a percussive pop edge."
Go up and download my MP3's and submit a review if you like them, and then
buy a CD!

And don't forget that Sister Friction has National Distribution through
Valley Media, Inc. GLAMOUR...MY ASS! and the Sometimes EP can now be ordered
through http://www.amazon.com , http://www.cdnow.com or through your
favorite record store.

Thanks for your time!
