OT: Palm Springs

My girlfriend has an opportunity to go to Palm Springs in April, or
Vegas in September for a trade show. I telecommute so I can go with
her to either show and work during the day from the hotel while she
does her thing, then we can see the sights at night. All it would
cost me is airfare. The hotel is paid by her company as well as most
of the food.

I've never been to either place. Those of you who have, which would
you choose?

If it matters, the hotel in Palm Springs would be the Mission Hills
Westin and Vegas would be the Venetian.

I've been to Vegas, and I would choose Palm Springs. Vegas just wasn't
my thing.

Palm Springs... I hate Vegas. Palm Springs in April, with wildflowers
blooming... should be gorgeous.

However, since you'll be working in the day, I'm not sure what Palm
Springs' nightlife is like, so you'll probaby have more fun in vegas.

hey, i'm staying at the villas at the mission hills westin in april! it
looks beautiful. the venetian is nice too but i'm not a huge vegas fan
so can't really help you decide.

Yep, the conference is April 26-28 and we'll be there thru the
weekend. Not sure if we will do Coachella but I definitely want to
see Joshua Tree park.
