My vote goes too 'Creed"
Tell me what you think.

I think that Creed's singer is a definite Vedder wannabe. But other than
that, the music sounds nothing like Pearl Jam. I just can't picture PJ
singing those types of songs..
just my thoughts

The singer from days of the new's voice kind of does an eddie thing too, its
annoying.

Make people use their own brain, and let them.
I didn't say that Creed is a Pearl Jam wannabe. I said that the singer
(Scott Stapp) sings in a Vedder-like voice. His voice sounds forced, like
he is TRYING to sound like Eddie. Just listen to the Creed album!!
Anyway.. Who cares?? I happen to like the Creed album a lot. Musically,
they are nothing like PJ. These are two totally different bands, that sing
totally different types of music.

Pearl Jam is a Pearl Jam wanna-be OR Creed is a Pearl Jam wanna-be?

I dig the Nixons. I've seen them about a half a dozen times in Dallas
and College Station. Just leave them alone and let them continue to
make good music. So they have a PJish sound to them, who cares? There
are a lot of bands that sound the same. If you don't like them, just
don't listen to them.

What the hell is that supposed to mean? Do you own stock it either of those
bands? What? Maybe the cash you've been forking over for those $40 bootlegs down
at your local CD shop isn't going to double for you because there is another band
out there that sounds somewhat similiar to a band that sounds similiar to dozens of
bands before it? Well I've got news for you buddy! The value you place on a band
is one that you determine of your own accord. It doesn't have anything to do with
record sales, charts, or who's got the newest, most original (bizarre) sound. It
has to do with which bands make songs that you can relate to or make you feel
something new (or forgotten).
If someone can listed to Creed and it awakens something in them, then more power to
them. If it doesn't do that for you, why do you feel threatened that they sound so
much like a band that (presumably) does?
Besides with all these mp3's and CD burners and DVD recorders and home MP3 players
on the way, boots are going to be way too plentiful to be of any value anyway...

I mean more people listen to bands like Creed and then bands like PJ and AIC
get forgotten and their talent is not as special if everybody tries to copy
them.
