Just heard this. Guess God needed a laugh with all the bad stuff
that's going on in the world. Hopefully now he'll finally get some
respect.

Between getting evicted and then hearing that Rodney Dangerfield died
in the same day, I have to say I'm a lot more upset at losing Rodney.

Actually it's not that bad. I had been planning to move soon enough
anyway. It'll be good to get out of that roach-infested cess pool
with the peeping tom apartment manager that goes through everybody's
stuff. The day I got evicted, he had (illegally) searched my closets
and drawers for some unknown reason. I just wish he hadn't waited
until after I gave him this month's rent check.

Rodney was one of the (if not the absolute) greatest one liner comics. I have
a couple of his Cd's and they always make me laugh. From everything i hear he
was a class act and true gentleman as well.

That probably wasn't an accident.

I know. I hate that mullet-headed son of a bitch. Oh well, since I
know the asshole will be keeping the deposit anyway, I might have to
leave a few surprises for them...

I've already had about 4 opportunities to sue over various bits of
bullshit, but I'm not going to bother. I don't have the cash and if I
even see him again I know I'll wind up beating the shit out of him and
going to jail. Plus I wanted out anyway. Before this I was the only
person in my building he hadn't evicted since he was hired 6 months
ago.

Jeremy spoke from a safe house somewhere out west--

With an uncanny grasp of the obvious, I bluntly stated--

Jeremy stubbed out his cigarette, leaned forward in his chair and
spoke in a conspiratorial whisper--

There ya go. "Forget" to empty the fridge. Stick some pancakes to
the ceiling. Take some laxative and then take a dump in one of the
corners of the bedroom.

Don't get mad; get even.

And he evicted everyone in the building (including you now) since he's
been hired on? Is he nuts? I can speak to your region (I have no
clue where you live), but I'm one of the few tenants in my entire
section of townhomes. That's pretty much the case for the smaller
(and larger) apartments in this same complex. Seems a lot of people
are buying houses at the moment. The complex management are offering
some insanely good deals right now to entice people to move in. Hell,
if my neighbor were to renew his lease (he's moving to Dallas next
month), his rent would *DROP* and supposedly they'd also refund half
of his deposit.

(Um, maybe I'll not renew when my lease is up and move some place a
bit more upscale. I shudder to think of what type of degenerates
these bargains may attract)

So I ask you, what kind of moron evicts tenants right now? You're
well rid of the bastard. But it sucks for you in the short term, of
course and I feel for you.

meh, that shit is tame.. no one empties their fridge so they're used
to that, the dump? pretty gross and one scoop of the dustpan and thats
gone, and the pankcakes? stand a chair, gone. you have to be more creative..
buy a bunch of fish and put them in places that you can't see, under the
fridge, tape one to the back of the drawer at the bottom of the stove,
tape one to the back of the utensil drawer, etc.. be creative. if you
wanna take it up a notch do all that then make a dozen holes in your walls
in random places (assuming you don't already have holes everywhere) and
drop some fish in the walls, and for two or three of them tape the fish
to the inside of the wall ABOVE the hole, as far up as you can reach.

Squid ... what state are you in? .... not on the east coast are you? ... it
doesn't seem as though rents are going down in the northeast :-(

I live in Texas. I suppose you can chalk up any discrepancies in rent
between my area and yours to regional differences. This is how things
have been here in Houston lately though.
