whats the first concert you ever saw, and the last concert you ever saw.
might be interesting to measure one's growth musically that way...changes or
non changes.
me first:
first ever concert: the jackson five victory tour in 1984. i was 13.
most recent concert: groundwork at key arena, pearl jam in particular. i'm
30.
well...i still pay to see five guys work it out onstage.
and i would still go see the jackson five...i'll never get sick of abc, the
love you save, i want you back, i'll be there, ben, etc. tho i wish i could
turn back the clock for michael. i wonder if he could do it over if he would
still do this to himself.
now you.

My first concert was a Summer Jam with Rick Derringer, Styx, Steve Miller Band
and Peter Frampton. This was during the FRAMPTON COMES ALIVE frenzy. It was
around 1976 and I was about 14.
I saw 2 outdoor concerts this past summer. The first was Bad Company and Styx
and the second was Jackson Browne and Tom Petty.
Guess I am still into that 70's rock.
By the way I saw the Jacksons Victory Tour as well. I was alot older than 13
though!

So I guess I've gone from those grunge guys to more sophisticated piano music

Oh dear. My first concert was Shaun Cassidy in...I want to say 1978
but that can't be right because my grandmother wasn't alive. Maybe
1980. I'd have been about 9 years old.
Most recent concert: Ryan Adams, October of this year. Much better
than Shaun Cassidy. :)

No, I did not like my last concert very much, so it doesn't say
anything:
I started at a indoor festival for Children, with bands like the Golden
Earring and Het Goede Doel (Dutch), in the late 70's or early 80's. My
last one was The Tea Party.

first concert i ever saw... well let's exclude the children's
performers that would come to my school or events i may have gone to
with my parents and skip to the first rock show i ever went to...
i bought brad tix from ticketmaster before i was 21. the guy at tower
didn't say anything about age. maybe the next day, i noticed that they
said "21 & OVE". at first, i didn't get it. is that an intersection?
does it mean 21st Ave? but i figured it out and went back to tower.
the same guy tried to get them refunded but the venue wouldn't allow
it. he didn't take the rap for it though, he told them someone else
had bought the tickets for me. so i went to the show and tried to just
walk in but obviously that didn't work. luckily we sold the tix to
somebody. we stuck around and listened from outside and got autographs
afterward. the next day i went to an all ages brad show. i think this
was still before the no smoking indoors in CA law took effect so that
was kind of a bummer but the show was awesome.
the last show i went to was mark lanegan. see my post from a couple
days ago about it. the show before that was brad. so i guess i like
the same music as i did when i started going to shows i.e. got a car.
but also much more.
