Just a short little story...

When I was around 10 years old my family would go to the local college
and watch basketball. Back then everyone in town went to these games.
You had to have people save you a seat beacuse of how full the
gymnasium would get. Going to these games was fun at 10, but usually
only if we could go run around the campus and not actually watch the
game. One game we actualy had to watch had a guy on the visting team
with the funniest name ever...Buster DuGood. Of course I could only
think of Dudley DuRight.

I used to work with a guy named Michael Dick... Mick Dick.

I was in Scotland for the World Cup last year, and all the Scottish
people were rooting against England in their match against Brazil.
Anyway, their goalie was named Seaman. And within 5 minutes of England
losing the match, this joke was being sent around through email... Why
does Brazil have the highest pregnancy rate in the world? Because
Brazilian men can lob Seaman from 30 yards...

funny thing is, I heard Milton Bradley is one of the biggest assholes in the
major leagues, just doesn't seem right with that name.

Let's see, people I've known:
*a Dong Dung
*a girl whose last name is Dicker
*a Joseph Joseph Joseph
*But my favorite one is from my dad. A few years back, he did a little
substitute teaching for his friend who is a school superintindent. As he was
going down the roll he came upon a boy whose name was spelled
Shitheed--pronounced "Sha theed" not "Shit Head" as my father unfortunately
found out the hard way.

he started as an expo but got booted because he and felipe didnt get along.
i was annoyed that personal stuff got in the way of what was obvious: the
kid had huge talent, and was showy about it, which made him entertaining.
but i guess he does have attitude.

Oh he definitely has talent. I was reading an article about him a while back on
ESPN.com, and he has had a really hard life--his father was a crack addict who
disappeared right after signing his birth certificate, his mom got shot at all
the time in the convience store she worked at, and he was constantly harrassed
by gangs growing up for being the only black member of his high school baseball
team, all of that kind of makes his attitude understandable. But from
everything I've read, he is extremely disliked amongst his peers.

Speaking of people coming up with the Expos, do you remember Curtis Pride? That
guy is one of the best stories to come out of baseball in a long time. Deaf
since birth and he still manages to play in the outfield where hearing the
sound of the ball coming off the bat is vital to playing the position. I
remember him because he played for the Braves for a season or so a few years
back and he was just awesome.

By the way, tough break on Vidro getting hurt. I heard Vlady may be coming back
soon though.

no, just 'block' or 'cube'. But the combination of first and last name
sounds so stupid.

i went to school with a kid named colin crapp. he took a lot of shit from
the other kids (ha ha pun intended). i sometimes wonder how he is doing now
in life and if having a funky name like that built character or turned them
into a bitter psycho.

For years he was Jack D. He has "recently" changed his name to just
Jack Zipper. :(
