speaking as someone from the us..i am embarrassed and ashamed that when
i mention that he is one of my favorite artists, i get blank stares. If
i had a dollar for every time i got asked if its the same guy from the
robocop movies, i would be able to buy a platinum bag to barf in. I have
traveled 7 hours to see him before and thought nothing about it cos it
was well worth it.If all the other so called "articulate,people of
conviction" had 1/1000 of his integrity, the world would be a lot better
place. ok, i'm off my soapbox now.

Ha ha ha ha, i get the same thing. It usually takes a reference to SC
to get a response. At my wedding I gave out copes of wildwood to the
groomsmen cuz Country was our wedding song. I dont know if the guys
ever opened them!! I am from Florida, by the way, saw him in Chicago
a couple years back.

I love being a fan of Weller/the Jam in the USA. Mods stick out here. How
often to I meet Joe Average on the street with my Jam shirt or have someone see
my Saab with Jam it's two lone Jam stickers on and have people ask me if it's
my band! I have twice had someone ask me if the picture on the shirt was me
(it's a Jam T with cartoon caricatures of the band from a French picture label,
not even that it looks like me but hey...)

Better than the rubbish that most people listen to over on this side of the
Atlantic. God bless the fans over here, right? Let's see if we can't see the
tour get reschedeuled for the Spring...
