Anybody heard Heliocentric yet???

I know some of you lucky bastards have advanced copies and promos. . .
whats the verdict? Is this album any good? The reviews seem good . . .

I dig the idea of a more mellow sound from the big man . .

When I first listened to the album I thought "oh my god what a load
of..." and was quite vocal with my opinion. After listening to it a
few times over the next few days, my views didn't change.

HOWEVER, I then didn't listen to it for about a week before I tried
again, this time I thought "Mmmnn this isn't as bad as I first
thought!" And then again a week later.

Heliocentric is a lot more mellow, as suggested, than PWs other stuff,
also it has been suggested in some reviews that it won't win any new
fans, another point I made to somebody a while back to somebody in an
email.

I found the album a grower, and I think my initial views came out of
shock as it was different to what I was used to, I think after waiting
3 years for the follow up to Heavy Soul my hopes and expectations were
way too high, wanting more of the same Paul Weller, Wild Wood, Stanley
Road and the aformentioned HS. But it wasn't.

I will now admit, yes the album is good. (I bet you're now pleased I
think that Jo!) If anybody isn't too sure when they buy it, give it a
chance, all of a sudden it will gel!

On my website, there is the full press pack that came with the promo
release when I got mine back at the beginning of March. :-)
