A Fine new Band!

Last night, in La Crosse Wisconsin of all places, I saw one of the best live
performances that I've ever seen. The name of the band is FLIBBERTIJIBBET. (I'm
sure of the spelling, I have a flyer. Most of the people there referred to them
as Flibjib.) Anyhow, I can't believe the level of music I was hearing for such
a small club. This is a four piece band with two guitars, bass, and drums that
sounds at times like an orchestra. Flibjib is equally good at high energy
jamming and rock solid grooves, and the music is definitely influenced by a
wide variety of styles jazz, acid rock, bluegrass, funk, and even flamenco. Of
course, all of this original music is wrapped up in their own unique style, and
as a bonus, the lyrics
were intelligible and intelligent. How rare. I've seen lots of bands, I've
played in bands, and I've devoted a great deal of my life to music and heard
alot... but Flibjib is an unbelievable live band.
I understand that their first CD is being manufactured now, but I checked out
their
website, and they have a few nice mp3's off the album. I highly recommend
checking these guys out before they get too big. You can get on their e-mail
