The English are famous for that!! They get bored of someone and its on
to the next band of the month (Travis). Frankly, I am surprised
Weller's solo career has maintained the popularity that it has. I
suppose you could contribute that to a very strong loyal fan base that
will continue to support as long as the music is strong, which brings
me to Heliocentric . . .
I think its fuckin great! It seems when it first came out most of the
opinions gravitated towards mediocre, not too bad, not too good. I
couldnt disagree more. I think every song is very good and the album
as a whole is a fantastic listen! Some numb nuts recently commented on
the OCS newsgroup that the album was just ok and that, and I qoute
"someone should tell the modfather that less is more" apparantly
commenting on the strings and other studio produced elements of the
album. Fooey!
Just to put my opinion into perspective, WildWood and Paul Weller are
my two favorites, now with Helocentric following close behind . . . .

Yeah unlike the fucking wonderfully, critically aware and hyper- intelligent
Americans. Not.
I will never stick up for this country's taste in music, its a
hopeless cause.
And what the hell does "hyper-intelligent" mean anyways, you jackass!
