Having just watched one of my old video's full of The Jam live and followed
by The Style Council live/totp, I was wondering after "The Bitterest Pill"
if anyone on the Ng could relate to that song the same as I can, i.e.. I
found out at the time that my bird (who I was engaged to after 7 years((yes
you miss Gail Harvey)) was shagging someonelse behind my back and that song
became so coincidental if you know what I mean. I've taken some pills in my
time, but that one was really difficult to swallow!!!!!

I'm pretty sure that 'The Bitterest Pill (I Ever Had To Swallow), was never
performed live, or on TOTP's. What gig were you watching John?

I've always liked that song, though I believe PW was never too sure about
it. Good lines in it like 'as I watch smoke leave etc.', and 'Autumn breeze
blows down etc.' , 'Your wheel of fortune broke and fell to me'. It's in my
top five Jam songs definately, although thank god I haven't been aquainted
with your Gail as I probably would've gone right off it! :)
