Went to the concert at Preston last night.
Personally I thought the set was excellent. He did plenty of the older
stuff, only 3 (I think) off the new album.
Only problem was the atmosphere. It was crap and I think Weller sensed it.
He seemed a bit pissed off and tried to get the crowd going early on. He
came on ( probably reluctantly ) for the encore and only did Woodcutters Son
even though he had the 12 string acoustic guitar set up ready. I was
certainly expecting Wild Wood and possibly another song. He just went after
the last song. Still it was worth it for me. Hopefully next time he'll
return to Blackburn where he's been a regular since his days with the Jam.
