Forget all the negative reviews about this fella hes still got it and
hes got it in bucketloads, and he is enjoying every minute of it.
Kicking off with a solid rendition of Out of the sinking the new
line up consisting of junior Holland on keys MR.White on bangy things
and Bez on stilts on a wicked BASS with a capital B,Weller has
surrounded himself with young talent who could hardly keep up with
the energy of this slightly greyer Birdman of Woking.
The ticket allocation was supposed to be only 900 but it looked
double that to me but no one enjoyed themselves more than the man on
the stage who burst thru a mixture of a set from his bulging (oo err)
back catalogue
From memory heres a list in no particular order ....
well that would spoil it now would,nt it lets just say that the stuff
you thought he would leave out from helio was right up there and
sounding a million miles away from the first wave of dodgy mp3,s we
all downloaded.
A good hour and a half of belting stuff was split in the middle with
an extended visit to the faithful (Fender Rhodes ?)old joanna where
he plunked away thru frightened etc backed up by Holland the younger
(who could do with avoiding big brothers barbers)
Sell your house/car/scoot/granny/wife buy or steal a ticket to see
the new line up.
