How about the apron Paul wore when they did "That's Entertainment!" and
"Going Underground" in 1980 --was it top of the pops?

I saw a great version of "Start" on "Fridays" a US t.v. show in 1980 or
1981. The guy that played Kramer in "Seinfeld" was a cast member.
Pretenders had 3 tremendous songs on that show, too. I think that was late
1981.
I got a bootleg of the Jam 1982. Weller had a bizarre psychedelic pattern
shirt under a pinstripe jacket. I went out and bought a similar getup.
Also had the army poncho. Still do, actually. Never wore the athletic club
sweatshirt and bowling shoes, though.
