Hi..

I saw a post on this NG about a Jam Anniversary CD. Too bad it expired on my
server and I couldn't read it(if you're thinking of joining MSN, don't). I'd
like the details if someone would pass them along.

The word is that Oasis, Manics, and OCS have done covers of Jam / Weller
songs.
Album will be out March '98 by all accounts

I posted 2 messages recently about a Jam tribute album.

All i know is that it is a forthcoming album of Jam covers by various
artists. The only song i know that is on it so far is an Oasis cover of "To
be someone".
If i find out anymore details i'll post them here.

I was watching an interview with Noel Gallagher from Oasis, and he
mentioned The Beastie Boys would be doing "Start!", although they had
already sampled the song on one of their b-sides!

Noel Gallagher is covering "Carnation". The Prodigy "The Eton Rifles".
Early Style Council collaborators Everything But The Girl contribute a
tune that I've just now forgotten. Shit. Did anyone see the Modfather
in Chicago or Minneapolis in October? Brilliant fucking show in the
Windy City. The Minneapolis show was weak thanks in part to a crap
crowd who apparently don't give a toss whether Weller tours the states
ever again.
