it was on the young ones, it might have been called 11 to 11?
and does anyone know who did this song, it was called`i am the beat` i
think, the band might have been called the face, but i don`t think so, help
me out and i`ll be your best pal, guaranteed.

The song "I am the beat" was by a group called "The Look", which got to
number 6 in the charts back in December 1980.

I have the record on 7", and the grooves on the record are such that, at the
end of the record, the hook line "I am the beat" is played over and over
again, and you have to physically stop the single from playing.

It's called 'Eleven Plus Eleven', the band was Nine Below Zero.

The Look sang "I am the beat" in 1980.
I think it's the only hit they had.
