Anyone else into the lyrical waxing of The Big Nosed Bard Of Barking?
If so why no newsgroup?
Can someone start one / tell me how to?

I would be ext. interested in BB newsgroup. I think "Greetings to the New
Brunette" is one of the best-written pieces of music in the 80s. I think it
is pertinent to hear this from someone on a Weller site. I see immense
parallels between them.

Neither caught on here in the States and it is truly a shame. He and PW
turned out absolute pop gems that should have blared from speakers in gov't.

In article <91S03.3$X7...@nnrp2.clara.net>,

I don't know much about starting an NG, but I hear the easiest to get
started are in the alt category. Maybe this will help get things
started:
To create a group in the alt hierarchy:
A proposal is discussed in alt.config. After the discussion is finished
(without strong oppposition) you need to convince a news administrator
to newgroup the group.
See the guide "So You Want to Create an Alt Newsgroup" posted every 14
days to alt.config, alt.answers, news.answers.

I think starting a news group is out of my ability league and I don't want
to piss off the Weller crowd by going on on this ng, but re.comments by
major7, I couldn't agree more.
I had the pleasure of seeing Weller & Bragg together on the Red Wedge tour
in the eighties.
Top gig.
