I went to the gig in Blackburn last night, my first Weller gig, and I've got
to say that musically it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. None
of this idle chit chat trying to fill in gaps between songs. It was
straight from one to the next. 1 and three quarter hours of excellent music
(pretty shitty support band though. They just sounded like noise compared
with the Modfather.)

Wild Wood was amazing. He just sat there at the front of the stage with the
crowd going mental.

He did 2 new tracks (name's escape me) but one of them was a slow one and
the other is going to be the new single. and both seemed quite marvellous
even on a first listen.

In summary, I have shared the same room as God.

If this band was called Weaver - then it is Wellers' cousin. So a little bit
of nepotism involved there!!

Was one of them called "He's The Keeper" - written about Ronnie Lane. I read
somewhere that he would like it to be the new single.
