To those that say that the fire has gone out, I say PAH!
PW was great and looked really up for it as far as I was concerned. It was
the first time I have seen him since V96 at Chelmsford and he really was
kicking on gas.
Most of Heavy Soul got an airing along with a fair chunk of Stanley Road
(Why no Whirlpools End though Paul ?), a few from Wild Wood (including a
fairly wiggy Foot Of The Mountain) and a very well received Into Tomorrow.
My personal highlights were the opening Changingman, Brushed, Peacock Suit
and a mass sing-along-a You Do Something To Me.
Plenty of nodding winks from Paul to all of us down the front and several
broad grins (whatever happened to the miserable bastard tag ?) sent
everyone home on good terms with themselves. Even my wife, who is not the
biggest fan had a ball and insisted on Heavy Soul for the car stereo on the
way home, thanks Paul, things are looking up !
