he has remained very popular in the UK with women of a 'certain age',
shall we say...lots of the major supermarkets are currently displaying
his new album in point of sale promotions and he will be shifting plenty
of copies. That's a very important CD buying demographic (big word,
Pambo won't understandify it)

There have never been anything except reports of Donny being a complete
gentleman either.

Compare that to the laughable sales of the Thing of Poop and his scummy
Visionary f'loon-fleecing attempts which barely moved the chart needles,
falling off the singles top 40 after just one week. The stores couldn't
do POS displays for the painted pedo boyfucker either as they would
scare people right back out of the store, with his mutilated stump of a
head and cheap nylon wigs.

Back in "my day," I couldn't stand Donny Osmond. One of my girlfriends
had a shrine to him in her bedroom, the wall completely covered with
photos of him she cut out from 16 Magazine and Tiger Beat (she told me
when her parents sold the house, they just wallpapered over Donny's
pictures, so there is a wonderful time capsule in that house).

My childhood feelings notwithstanding, I am thrilled by Donny's
endurance and success. There's a certain pride that this is a guy of my
generation who has lived a good life and continued to reap rewards.
When he turns up on television, I'm happy to see him--just like I'm
thrilled to run into a high school classmate on the street even if I
didn't especially like that person when we were in school.

I never paid any attention to Donny until I heard a recording of The
Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and then I realized that guy could sing his
*ass* off. Technically, a much better singer than Wacko was on his best
day. And as a human being? Donny was a pinnacle of perfection that
Wacko couldn't hope to reach 10% of on his BEST DAY --> which are far,
far, FAR behind the plastic pedo now.

Plus the customers would have complained or even refused to shop at
stores that promoted Miss Wacko.

Didn't Target refuse to carry her albums after customer complaints?
