I heard that version when I was in Virgin Megastore on Oxford Street. I
thought I was imagining things. Mind you, I haven't actually heard the
version recorded on the single, only the album version and a couple of live
performances.
It really doesn't sound right, anyway.

I got both singles and the first track on BOTH of them is the one which
you desribe above. Strange
