I got this on the Robbie Williams mailinglist (shuttup yes I do love Robbie
:)

It's mostly about Robbie, but there is some on Liam in here and Noel's
listed in the standings at the bottom... :)

ROBBIE IS TOP POP ICON

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Robbie Williams has completed his transition to solo stardom by being
named
Pop Icon of '98.

The former Take That singer has topped a poll among music experts to
finish
ahead of established stars like Madonna, George Michael and Liam
Gallagher.

Forty contributors to the Guinness Rockopedia were surveyed and gave
their
scores to music stars across six varying categories.

The singer, who notched up his first number one Millennium in September,
was
judged on Sheer Talent, Sex Appeal and Interview Ability among other
things.

Rock'n'Roll Behaviour also entered the equation, although Oasis singer
Liam
Gallagher was far and away the highest scorer in that category, with
jailed
ex-Stone Roses singer Ian Brown runner-up.

However, Williams did score highly for sex appeal - just ahead of Andrea
Corr from Irish band The Corrs - and topped the table for chart
performance,
calculated by assessing sales and chart statistics.

Last year the star checked into a rehab clinic to tackle his addictions
after a shaky start to his solo career.

But this year he went on to huge success with his Life Thru A Lens
album,
now this year's second best seller - behind Talk On Corners by The Corrs
-
and the follow-up, I've Been Expecting You, going straight to number
one.

The star will be rewarded with a crate of Guinness.

Top Ten: 1 Robbie Williams; 2 George Michael; 3 Liam Gallagher &
Madonna; 5
Beck & Ian Brown; 7 Courtney Love; 8 Jarvis Cocker; 9 Bjork; 10 Noel
Gallagher & Marilyn Manson.

I agree, no more Robbie puns. He's a sad, twisted soul with some weird
views on press relations and he sings some awful songs.

<pause>

I'm not getting the hang of this, am I?
