You perv.... Leave the poor lass alone! :-P
Hehe, probably just comes natural to her to be so so tasteful!
I sometimes wonder: on a scale from 1 to 1,000,000, how much do you all
think Noel feels ashamed at the thought of actually being once married
to the woman and *gasp* having a daughter with her?

well he does have a beautiful little daughter courtesy of meg, so no matter
how much i despise both gallagher's ex-wives, there is that to say in meg's
favor.

Well yeah technically speaking, she did give birth to anais... now come
I don't know the woman, never even saw or heard her speak on tv or
anything, just saw some pretty impressive pictures of her "style" and
yeah all the stuff we know of and I strongly suspect this time it's not
mere media slandering of innocent targets... but you know, even the
best men sometimes end up having kids from women who they later come to
despise too and hm, it's not a pretty situation. There's something in
the interview Noel says indeed very tactfully about this whole mess and
him seeing his daughter twice a week or something. The way she handled
the divorce was just sickening. It's not a good situation for a man to
be in, and I won't add more cos I know someone in the same kind of
mess. ack! women! ;)
> I've always hated Meg "Yoko" Matthews
Ah! I know what you mean about that parallel in terms of the band but
there's a whole lot of difference there.... I'm not too crazy about
Yoko either and I know too little about her at all but I honestly
always thought she had tons more class than Meg.
oh i can't stand the tacky broad, i was just trying to find something nice
to say. but i'm over it now and completely hormonal so i'll say what i
really think-he must have been embarrassed, if not for her behavior during
their marriage, then certainly for her misbehavior so soon after. maybe
she's really not so bad and she's been savaged by the press but i have yet
to find one redeeming quality in her from what i've read and seen. (where's
dawn when we need her, eh? oh yeah, i forgot, that's you. ;) ) *but* i'm
sick to death of all these celebrities getting married at the drop of a hat
and/or reproducing willy-nilly so i've not got any sympathy for the brothers
either-if neither of them learned anything from the unhappy ending of their
marriages, then maybe they really are stupid, or at least seriously lacking
in common sense. why can't people just learn to try living together first
and using birth control?! :[

kaz (goes back to eating her cereal and pondering the whole "anthrax attack

back to bed.)
> Yoko

hmm, then let's compare Meg to Courtney Love, rather than Yoko... that
is a closer parallel there, in many many ways...
oops, yeah was being too one-sided here, sorry!
Oh come on..... Noel and Liam were going out with their wives years before
they got hitched, let alone had children!
Most marriages end in tears these days. It's not exclusive to celebrities
for fuck's sake. And let's not forget...... while I'd be the first to call
Meg an ugly old moose who couldn't get a kick in a stampede, it was Noel who
introduced Meg to that huge party scene. Before that, she was just some
average woman working in some average office, doing an avarage job.
> (where's
> dawn when we need her, eh? oh yeah, i forgot, that's you. ;) )
exactly, and dawn here confirms and agrees with all you say (so far) ;)
> *but* i'm

hey! they can afford it! fair play to them, after all...
> so i've not got any sympathy for the brothers

Nah nah. Look, it's so fucking easy even for very very clever men and
very good and sensible and all to get completely fooled in the most
amazing blatant way by a woman. It's called falling in love, it happens
even the other way round, in other ways. Others can spot the fooling,
not the person being fooled. It takes a punch in the eye sometimes to
wake them up! (spot the Liam praise in there, he he....)
Like, it's a fact of life! it's no secret to anyone, I hope. If it was,
then, thank me eternally for revealing that to you ;)
and.. you *never* learn better. Another fact of life. Enough with them
now!! ;)
> why can't people just learn to try living together first
> and using birth control?! :[
Maybe... cos they do really want to have kids? it's nice you know,
babies, and if you got money, well blimey have about a thousand then,
you're gonna give them a good nice life, so: why not?
it may not be top to be divorced afterwards, but kids adapt very
easily, it's a lot harder for the parents especially the fathers, but
there's no big difference between living together or getting married
when you separate, isn't it the same basically - well not, Noel
wouldn't be forking out millions now!! and to think, half of what we
pay for the new album will go... to Meg?! isn't that scary!
> i'm new here, can u tell me why you all hate meg matthews?
Well, "hate" is a big word, but in short: we don't know a thing, it's
gossip and tabloids, and we're all obviously more likely to be "on the
side of Noel", but all in all, it seems she didn't come out of the
whole story with as much dignity as he did, that's about it as I see
it.
Nah, I think a closer parallel would be Paula Yates, Bob Geldof's ex-slapper
and Michael Hutchence' Widow Slapper!
Hm, I don't know about her that well to say.... just thought Courtney
and Meg share in the obnoxiousness, even if Courtney has something I
kind of like, I mean, I don't like her, but she can be real hilarious
sometimes... perversely attractive somehow.
And I'm still bloody waiting for her to release the album with the song
Liam wrote for her!! but all she thinks of is how to get her hands on
the whole Nirvana catalogue, damn.
Because we're all misguided, petty and spiteful Oasis fans who can't see any
wrong the boys may do!
I think that was the answer you were looking for! ;-)
Anyways, most of the stuff you read is probably true. She certainly does
nothing to refute those stories.... THE "Money Grabbing" BITCH! :-)
That is my main problem with her- I am certain, as in most cases, the
failure of the marriage is to blaime on both- but the amount of money
she asked for, that was just to much.
J.A.
Maybe a life with lot of money but not necessarily a good life-
children need other things far more than money: love, love, love ...
time, patients, etc- and they do not stay nice babies, but become
interesting teenagers....

right! :)
i'm not talking about noel and meg, and liam wasn't with patsy *that* long
before they got married and then pregnant. (i have no mind for the proper
figures) then they both jumped right into their relationships with nic and
sara, before they were even fully divorced if i recall?

hey, i didn't say it was exclusive to celebs, i merely meant it seems rather
a trend lately (and you must admit it does, i think.) i'm personally very
anti-marriage myself in general, except when there are children to consider,
but surely you can't think liam and nicole having a baby so early in their
relationship and so soon after lennon (and molly, if she's really his
daughter) came on the scene was the greatest idea? while noel may have
introduced meg to the whole party thing (though i can't say i recall reading
that), i believe it was meg who wanted to keep up the heavy partying when
noel wanted to slow it down (according to what i read.) remember the whole
house in the country thing, and how meg supposedly hated it and wanted to be
back in london with her friends? i wouldn't care how much i personally loved
the party scene, if my guy was trying to get himself off drugs and get his
alcohol consumption under control, i wouldn't do anything to jeopardize
that, instead i'd support him! but that's just a difference between me and
meg, i guess. i don't think meg was ever gonna stay some average woman in an
average job, even if there had been no noel. i think she craves all that
attention and that lifestyle. i think i also recall she was working for some
record or pr company already when they met, so i figure she was probably
already trying to get on that path. (just my thoughts on all that) :)

yeah, exactly what molly said. :) now don't get me started on that kensit
woman-she *really* bugs me and i'm far too hormonal to be rational on that
subject. ;)

what got me most recently about meg were the god-awful stories from the trip
she took just after they divorced, was it to india maybe? i don't think
she's ever really doesn't done much to show herself in a good light-it's
almost as if she's got some perverse need or desire to thumb her nose at the
media by doing really negative things under their eyes.

(this thread is getting more and more interesting...)

See? Meg *is* Courtney's lost sister! ;)
But you said all that in an Oasis Newsgroup in a reply to a discussion about
Meg..... and now you're backtracking!
I'd agree with you where Liam, Nicole and the baby are concerned, but not
their relationship. He was well over Kensit it appeared!
Noel had asked Meg for the divorce before he started seeing Sara, he sued
the Daily Mirror for saying otherwise.
The person asking for the divorce is usually no longer in love with the
person they're divorcing. Noel said about 12 months (Count them.... 12)
before divorcing Meg that he was worried he'd realize he didn't really love
her after he'd quit the drugs! Sounds like a man who knew exactly where he
was going.
As I say, Nicole's getting pregnant was a little quick...... but hey, my
sister was pregnant 4 months after meeting her b/f and nearly 13 years
later, they're still happily married. (And yes, I lnow my sister pretty
well!)
Nah, I think she's just lost any perspective on what's real and what isn't.
Lot's of well known women who get lots of attention end up that way.
Paula Yates, Yoko Ono, Courtney Love (A real money-grabbing bitch), Patsy
Kensit, All the Spice Girls et al..
> Maybe a life with lot of money but not necessarily a good life-
> children need other things far more than money: love, love, love ...
I know, but that was what I implied too in the "nice good life", not
just money - not all celebs are like Noel or Liam but I think they can
"afford" kids in more senses than just money.. they seem to like family
for sure! Also, coming from a family like they had, I'm sure they
always wanted to be good fathers themselves. Kind of taking revenge in
a good way. The only "trouble" those kids are gonna have is being
spoilt rotten, but that happens to all kids of people who had it hard
themselves. That's the impression I get each time I hear Noel or Liam
speak about themselves and their kids.
But then again I'm in "Oasis are perfect in all senses" phase so, I'd
never imagine they could not be the best fathers they can be. (I hope
to recover from this total adoration syndrome, it's really getting
worse each day....)
"we need each other" playing now - help, I'm addicted to those
repeats!!
(tape is on its way, J.A.)
> but surely you can't think liam and nicole having a baby so early in their

Hi, yes I'm Liam's daughter as I already pointed out some time ago,
ahem, though no one believed me, as usual! (and rightly so), erm.
I'm sure Liam just LOVES the idea of leaving a big tribe of little
Gallaghers all over the planet, cos that's what all great talents tend
to do: it's out of sheer generosity for humanity, duuude! make babies
not war! put flowers in your guns, erm, sorry got carried away. But
just imagine, the next generations will have their own rock'n'roll
Gallaghers too!! Preserving the Heritage, that's all. Should be
state-funded, damn. So we wouldn't have to fund the operation ourselves
;)

kaz, you just GOT TO watch Spinal Tap. you'll definitely like it!
amazing yoko-meg-courtney portrait in there! don't miss it...
(flashback: didn't we have some long thread on this
women-marrying-rockstars topic ages ago, me you and robin arguing,
lol?)

And the tart spoiled the image of my childhood idol - never forgive her for
that. Still don't know what was going on in Ally's head.Kensit is, and has
been for some time, at best allright but IMO rough - Allison McCoist on the
other is proper pretty and a far nicer person. (I've met her a couple of
times)
> some real good Nuernberger Lebkuchen
was ist das? kenn ich nicht!
(that's about the extent of what I recall from school... the shame..)
I have the same problem with Itallian- learnt it in evening course at
uni for 2 years- was quite fluent, but have lost most :( but it still
helps on the rare occasions I come to Italy.
As for the Lebkuchen:
a special typ of "cookies", the receipt hundreds of years old, with
honey and nuts, lots of spices, one of the great German culinary
specialties. Normally only made for christmas but nowdays you see the
cheap variation in the shops from end of August (each year a little
earlier)
If you get the real thing, they are fantastic. Lots of work, if you
make them.
To give you an idea, I will send a receipt per email. there are lots
of differnt receipts, but I found one in English.
Cheers
J.A.
